Re: 16x8 steel wheels on sale
^^^ on a C/K20??
I ordered my wheels in August. They must have already taken enough orders to fill however many they had plugged in for the next run already in place and yours are the next batch. These things are selling like hot cakes. Now to lean on them to start producing 17" aluminum slots! I say 17" now because that's the industry standard and would look no different than 16.5s. |
Re: 16x8 steel wheels on sale
16 inch mags would be the way to go in my book. Bah 17 inch modern giant wheels ... might as well put spinning caps on em too

Re: 16x8 steel wheels on sale
You really think 1/2" would even be noticed? Tire offerings for larger 16s are now getting how 16.5s had gotten before they got downright scarce. I'm concerned 16s will go the same way. 17s are the new 16 on newer trucks, with huge diameters being the dominant option. I'd say stock size 16s (like 235/85) will stay but I see the wide tire market going 17". For a company to produce these they need to know it's for years to come. I'd expect to see '88-up trucks running these if they came out.

Re: 16x8 steel wheels on sale
Anyone ever run across this same wheel offered new in 16x7? Or are we subjected to what's on the used market?

You make a good point, though. Something tells me there won't be any tall & skinny 17" or 18" tires. |
Re: 16x8 steel wheels on sale
FYI Just got a email from Jegs and my wheels shipped today.

Re: 16x8 steel wheels on sale
Had to order up some of these today. I do not even have any 3/4 ton's to put them on but, know its only a matter of time. Too good of a deal to pass up.
