Do you know if theres a link somewhere to download the pdf in one shot for the parts manuals? Usually when I want to look up something I'm not at a computer with a high speed connection, or no connection at all.

Just a note of caution: do not look in the Superman directory if you are at work. NSFW! (Hoping I don't have a trip to HR in the near future).

I have my original scans of all 3 parts and all 3 Illustration books. Ian didn't link to the original PDFs because they are REALLY BIG FILES.


Dang :jdp: No kidding!! Not family or work friendly... I don't recommend opening that one either.

I printed off the Cruise one. I can only hope and pray that it holds true for my '86 or at least gets me close enough as my cruise just stopped working yesterday. Wiring diagram will come in handy as well when I get ready for a stereo upgrade in the coming months. Thanks hatzie!!!

How big? I've got no problem downloading a massive pdf if necessary. (got extreme speed at work, 500 meg from one of the big players (microsoft, xerox, etc) is done before I can set my coffee cup down. Problem is I prefer to browse these things at my liesure where speeds are slow for comfortable reading.

What kind of limits does rapidshare have now that they seem to have gone legit?

Thank You So Much Hatzie. I bought this '85 C20 from a friend of mine ,for my newly turned 16 yr. old son,and it has been hell ever since.They turned an automatic into a 4 speed manual with granny gears but did not do it right!!!

There are several 2000-2004 Dodge Ram service manuals online. They have sections on the NV3500 & NV4500 transmissions.

Acrobat 9 had a fatal error on my PC. It decided to encrypt the service manual files with a random key. I had to re-install Acrobat to get it back to normal.
I am in the process of re-building the manual files from the ABYY 11 raw scan folders. I will upload new copies tomorrow.

Thanks for your post it saved me this week. My trans would not lock up because a vac switch failed and i probably wouldnt have figured it out as quickly as I did without the wiring diagrams you posted.

I'll be scanning and posting some more 77-91 service manuals over my Christmas '12 vacation.

I've found some specialized unit repair booklets, tech training booklets, and 67-71 10-60 series service and overhaul manuals to scan as well. The 67-72 manuals will prolly wait till the square stuff is scanned. ;)

If anyone has the foldout ST352-81, ST352-82, or ST-352-84 wiring manuals and would be willing to let me scan them PM me. If you're in NH, RI, or Eastern MA I can meet you. I will have to CAREFULLY remove all three binding staples to run the pages through the scanner. My manuals are as original now with the exception of some brandy new staples.

I guillotine the binding glue off the service and unit manuals. So I'm only scanning manuals that are in kinda tough shape to start with. They are complete but the covers and first few pages are generally loose or barely hanging on and some have some truly impressive dog ears to fold out and press/iron flat enough to carefully feed through the scanner.

For anyone who cares about this kinda stuff...
I'm scanning these as text-under-image searchable PDF files. What you see is the original image complete with tables and proper formatting. This method uses OCR text for text searches and cut-n-paste operations. Otherwise it's hidden... as are any errors in the transcription.

I use a Fujitsu FI5530C2 sheet-feed scanner using 400x400 dpi greyscale with modified brightness and contrast settings.
Software is GIMP for long sheet wiring diagram bitmap image splicing, ABYY Finereader 11pro for OCR, and Acrobat 9 for final PDF optimization.

The paper manuals are definitely worth getting. You can usually pick them up fairly cheap for the exact year if you're patient and aren't too picky about covers and greasy fingerprints.
PDF files are not as garage friendly if you don't have a hardened PC.

I have the ST330-79 & ST330-81 service manuals in the queue. They had no covers but only cost $4...
