Re: a fun one... is your truck chick friendly...

The only chicks that like my truck that I'm aware of are my current g/f & my daugheter & her friends...

My current g/f had been dying to drive it, finally got to, and now has her own!!

my daughter hated my '72 when i got it, but it grew on her, and then she got to where she loved it!!! It helped that she could actually see over the dash in it, and then she got older, and you don't need a seatbelt in a truck in Indiana, so I think that helps...

No other chick I've ever been involved with have wanted anything to do with it. Some wouldn't even get in it... That was fine, those didn't last very long...

My truck isn't too no chick friendly, but once a radio is in, and I clean it out good, it will be fine. Unless the girls need carpet.. But thats on the soon to buy list. I do plan to prime the bed before my first time tailgating with the 68 in May

6 different colors right now!! Gotta be a chick joke to look at. so I figure theyed point and laugh! Now when it gets back on the road it'll leave their little import chick rig in the dust and at least then they might be at least thinking a little different maybe???

Chicks do love trucks for sure. How many times have ya seen the pavement pounder 4x4s with 44s ,big blocks and a step ladder to get in and out, and ya look behind the wheel and there sets some petite lil cutie barely able to open the door, and drivin it and lovin it!!!!!

When I met my wife 19 years ago she didnt see what I was driving. When I picked her up for our first date I was driving A black 930 porsche convertible I was sure she would be impressed she wouldnt even get in it, she called it my p#$$y wagon not in those exact words but close, I left came back in my 72 short wide in primer and she jumped in been with her ever since.

:haha: Good one jim!

My truck IS "the other woman." I spend too much time and money on her (often behind my wife's back) and get very little in return. And, my wife hates her guts.

My Truck gets the looks from a lot of our female counterparts but I have yet to met one dying for a ride in it tho...

I think as much as they show appreciation for a classic old truck they'd rather be riding in a faster, sleeker car...

I think my girlfriend is jealous of my truck, she thinks i love it more than her. But she likes that it keeps me out of trouble!

Not all chicks dig it... only the cool ones. It does suprise me how many women will comment on my truck.. I'd like to think it's me they admire, but none ever approach me when I'm in my Corolla.. go figure?

now the only way chicks dig my truck is for the sympathy value, I need to change my vote to laughter & pointing

Thus why I want to build a two wheel drive diesel (got the 6.5 in my garage:metal: but its been there ever since it was removed from the 85 about three years ago)for a college vehicle (unless I happen to find her here, then I would still want the truck) instead of a lil import :drama:

Cool thread, Andy. My truck gets alot of attention from the opposite sex. I used to have to go to a Credit Union bank to put my wife's checks in, and there was a cute little hottie that worked the window. A few times I thought she was gonna run out and jump in the truck with me. She told me how much she liked my truck every time I drove it. I can't even go to a fast food drive-thru without getting some kind of compliment.

My wife, on the other hand, absolutely hated, I mean HATED my truck when I first bought it 6 yrs ago. She sulled up like a bullfrog and pouted while we were making the deal on it. My dad and I still laugh about it. She likes the fleetsides, but she doesn't like stepsides. She also don't like rally wheels on anything. My truck was almost all original, black, stepside and had rally wheels. when I bought it. She said it was ugly. She likes it now with the shiny wheels and V8 and all and likes to drive every now and then.

She refers to it as my second wife and teases me by saying that I kiss it goodnight every night. I personally don't see anything wrong with that.

Wife didn't like it at first...but now she thinks it is great! I bolted the seat down so it wouldn't rattle...so she has a little trouble reaching the pedals. But she still likes to drive it.

She drives Z-71 Burban and loves to drive my 2500HD 8.1. And she liked my older trucks also (87 K-20 and 82 K-10). I guess I just have a truck lovin wife. She also loves college football (suggested season tickets), baseball (made me order MLB package), march-madness (beat me in the pool this year), & playoff hockey (loves fights). Oh, and she's a doctor also ;)

I guess I had better shut up or someone might come along and try to steal her from me...

Re: a fun one... is your truck chick friendly...

Tugowar..Thanks for the compliment. And you hit the nail on the head she loves these trucks as much as I do. I put together A 71 2wd blazer withA 375 horse LT1 but she liked my 72 c-10 396 stroker better. So when I rebuilt her 71 from the ground up I went through her LT1 and pumped it up to 500+ horse power and she loves it. ''Did that sound right''...After six kids and almost 20 years I may live ''check to check'' but in my eyes ''I am'' the richest man in the world.....

I can haul all the chicks you want, The only problem is they keep flying out the bed. Seems their wings catch air at highway speeds. Women on the other hand dont come near it cause they're afraid that uglyness is going to jump on them. HEHE!

My first truck was a 77 Custom Deluxe. With the vinyl seat. Chicks seemed to like it. But My trick was to Armorall the middle and passenger sides and hang tight right turns. Slides her right into my lap.

Sweeeeet!

I've had several young ladies honk at me and roll their windows down and say they like the truck. What do you think the first words are out of their mouths.... "what is it and what year is it". They always seems to be chicks young enough to be my daughter though.

What I really get a kick out of is when the Ford and Dodge boys give me a thumbs up. I think these trucks truely cross all brand loyalty lines....
