Hmm, wonder who used olive green trucks? Would love to learn more about it. The truck has had NUMEROUS changes since then so nothing original left but still interesting...

Mine is a 68 USAF truck. The interior is still the blue but it was bought by a school district and painted white since. Still have the nomenclature plate on the glovebox door. When ever I do the interior I'll probably replace the original glovebox door and keep the original.

Mine has the 292......does that mean I could have a 4:10 posi???

Cool. I've never seen one of those tags before. I only have the 4 holes there which I saved, never filled in. :D

Heres my 1968 C-10 Air Force short step, 6 cylinder, 3 on the tree. Mine was an Air Force truck used at the General Dynamics plant. Couple of the pictures are the stickers that are still on the glove box door. Truck had
72,000 miles on it when I got it. All orginal paint & sheet metal except for the rockers.

Love this truck! Brings back memories of many AF trucks I saw as a kid.

Re: Any other Air Force C10s on here?

Thanks guys. I was going to put a 350/350 in it, do a body off, but after I got it home and cleaned up there was no way. Truck just looks so good with the lettering & they are orginal only once. I do have the 350/350 combo for when the 6 dies, might get better gas milage with the 350. For now its going to stay the way it is.

Re: Any other Air Force C10s on here?

Not that it would be bad, just not the best daily driver and family carrier.

Can you take some closer pics of the door art? I was thinking about doing a military themed/daily driver with my truck.

jibs, was your bed wood painted blue too? Mine was.

It is still a I-6 but somewhere along the line has been changed over to an automatic/floor shift and a radio/CD player in the dash. It has manual steering but has power disk brakes. The metal information plates are still pop riveted to the dash and the chain is still attached to the gas cap. I still am undecided on what I want to do with it but do drive it every now and then.

do you have any pics of your truck ????

Ok this isn't about an air force truck but I just found a 67 C30 in a junkyard that has Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on the doors. No tags on the glove door but there was this metal (aluminum) tag attached to one of the screws inside the glove box.

It has the commonwealth logo like on the doors and it says: "This plate must be presented each time sales tax stamps are purchased. A supply of stamps must be on hand at all times. Stamps must be cancelled on each and every taxable transaction."

Obviously tax related but what exactly I don't know. Anyone know more about that?

P.S. I thought all 1 ton trucks came with roof clearance lights standard? This one has none. This has a dump box on it and it's dark green. Looks all original but off the road since about 2001 I think.

I don't have any history on my cab however when I sanded the many layers of paint off I found the dark blue as the last color on my cab. It also had cab lights and both A posts with holes for spot lights.
