hey yall. Im 17 im a junior i been drivin my truck since last year to school everyday. Its hard to restore it when your drivin it though. everyone recognizes it cause it has utilitie boxs on the sides of the bed its wierd. its a stepside with utility boxs instead of stepside fenders.

I'm almost 18 and I drive my 68 GMC K2500 to school everyday (except when it's broke down). i don't dare drive my 67 c10 to school ever. people like to screw with your vehicle in the parking lot especially with a truck, your bed becomes a trash can.

The bareness of our motors astonish kids I think. There's no wires or plastic hiding everything. That, and a Chevy Orange block makes things apparent.

I'm a senior in high school. Just rebuilt my engine myself and am currently in the paint stage. Probably taking it to get it painted Friday. Hope to drive it to school at least a month or two before I graduate.

everyone says the same thing about my plow truck, now i know it's not pretty but it takes a beating with a plow and wheeling and it's been good to me. they don't believe me when i say the only rust on the truck is in the bed because it's 8 different colors. they think my 67 is a piece of junk too when they hear me say 1967 chevy but when i show them pictures they tend to shut up.

Here's the one my youngest son drove to high school, and it is why I bought mine. His is gone. Mine is disassembled. The second pix is one that was sent to me by the new owner, who lives in Ft. Worth.

yeah my truck had AC and all power so the engine compartment was pretty crowded and i opened it for a friend of mine who is into imports(his brother owns a turbo subra) and he almost fell over at how small and bare my engine was LOL

Had a 16 year old at work that drove a VW Jetta turbo that his parents bought him, he said my truck was old and slow, then one night when we got off his ride didn't show up and I dropped him off at his house, once he rode in the truck he totally changed his mind LOL

Hello all, Nice Trucks!!
Im 18 and I have been driving my '70 LWB to school since my junior year. I dont park in the lot at school, a friend of mine lives across the street so I park there for the day. I bought it the summer before my sophomore year for $200 and worked on it through 10th and midway through 11th. Everyone rags on me because its 4X4 and I dont drive it in the winter, but hey, they didnt spend the $7,000 bucks to restore it!! Mine is by far the most powerful vehicle in the lot except for one diesel that is insane, and it is definetly the oldest! Come graduation day this May, im gonna park in the lot, and when we get out, Im gonna leave a big ol patch of black in the lot, and bark the pipes all the way home!!

everyone post pics of you and your truck
0-60 and 1/4mile times would be fun too

my best 0-60(with the old th350 and 3.08 gears) is 10 seconds flat-no joke

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!

knew a guy with a ford ranger that he thought was pretty hot and saw him randomly at our public library, so i stopped the truck in the middle of the parking lot and laid a big patch of rubber to show off and as i left there was this old man getting into his truck that turned around and clapped for me- true story

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!

Everyone definetly hears me coming to school, one day I was about a mile and a half from school, i barked the pipes from a stop sign, and a friend of mine heard me at the school!! Who says straight 3inch cherry bombs aint loud!!

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!

When we seniors were let out early by surprise one day, I was the 1st off the lot... The next day I got many "I heard you leaving"s hahah.... Every stop sign, wasn't burning rubber, but sure as hell let it go.

0-60 for me is in around 7-8 seconds, about the same as my dad's Grand Prix GT.

im 17, drive my truck from the second the snow melts, until the the snow falls and stays.. yeah i drive it through some light snow, but it gets a little hairy at times.

bought the truck, it needed a motor and tranny, but the body was really nice (what you see there is how it came)

i tore the motor out and built a pretty bad 383 stroked that dynoed just a hair under 450 hp, and bolted that to a T350 with a shift kit.

i drive the truck to school, work, and the cottage on weekends. I tow the race car to the track on saterday nights, and then cruise the beach on sundays. i get mixed reactions at school, all of the girls are really into it, some of the guys tell me they hate the color, id say they are just jelous:lol:

anybody going to be at the car show in myrtle beach this weekend?

I'm going to be there, unfortunatly w/o my truck, as it was still snowing when i left canada on march break..

I'm home schooled, most of my friends dont understand my 84. My home school school mate rode with me once, I did 2 burnouts and he said both were weak. I found out later, he thought they were "weak" because I didnt do a wheelie...kids these days need serious help.
