I didnt trim at all. I was wondering why you cut your rear support. Look at pic in post #4.

Man...I really dont want to trim anything...I love the look for the custom alum gas tank...but this is one of those budget killers (ie, tach dash, bags, engine, etc) that is nice but not a necessity...ill be looking at an extra 200 plus...uuugh

Just a pain. The metal is a lot nicer look bc it is paintable. every scratch and gouge shows on plastic.

I paid $340 shipped for mine, plus $30 for a sending unit... he will make them taller or shorter if you need too..

I ordered it from JC whitney when they had free shipping.. brothers or any other place has the same basic 0-90 OHM universal sending unit... It has five screw holes on the collar...

If you are going full custom, do a cell that can be hidden behind the rear pan. Save up and do it your way.

Here's mine, just a universal aluminum cell that I made some straps for and put the filler through the bed floor, pretty cheap, included the sender.
