On the passenger side we cut tabs into the panel to hold it in place and then used the panel clamps (like what we used by the gas cap) to align the panels. once the panel was tacked in place we cut the tabs off with a cut off wheel. For the drivers side, we did something similar but purchased some klecos to use instead. I really had to search to find the photo of the skin before we put it on. I do agree that a full quarter would have been a better way to go, but for the budget that I am on, I could not afford the cost and the shipping. Lmc sent these skins oversize ($20) instead of truck freight ($100 something). I think that if my order was over $1000 I could have gotten free shipping? not sure

Just picked up 86 high back adjustable buckets, a nice clean 77 core support, an NOS tailgate with new lift motor, and also got another top for it that has already been smoothed. all for a great price

I started working on the pan in the tailgate area. I wish I had more money so that I could replace more, but patching will have to do.

Awesome work as usual! Glad to see you're saving this one, and that you're updating the progress. I enjoy body work so seeing it is fun for me lol. Keep it up man!

You are making great progress. I'm going to be doing a lot of this to my '76 here pretty soon. I hate body work...'cause I suck at it...but I'm going to go slow and do it right.

Keep it up, and take lots of pictures ;)

I suck at it too, but I am learning. It takes time (I have just over a year in this one so far) and dont be afraid to ask alot of questions.

I bought the rear box floor sections for a long bed from 73-87. I only used about 6 inches of the pans which are about 3 feet long. I should have just installed the entire pans and replaced as much as possible but hind sight is 20/20. I have the drawings on cardboard, I need to transfer them to paper so that I can send them. Sorry its taking so long, But I took on the job of putting a full floor in a 70 chevy cab for a friend and between that and the blazer I have been a little taxed lately.

Re: 76 Blazer build

sounds good man, did you just use the "end" of the corrugated steel bed floor?
I need a couple 1 foot by 6 in pieces... maybe we can work something out?

Re: 76 Blazer build

Are those rear clearance lights above the hatch? I've never seen those before. Or are they just chicken lights the po added? And may I ask why do you want high back buckets? Do you have low backs now or are yours just shot? Good work on saving the blazer by the way.
