I'm going to mitch, it's just up at the shop. I've been pretty busy and haven't gotten the time to check stuff out other than when I test drove it and bought it. Gonna check numbers and all that good stuff. Pending Monday.

Looks like the horse is taking that one over

Re: 71 Cheyenne C30 Project
Well if it's not a 1 ton, I don't know why the badge would've been put on there. The paint on it is definitely too good to be original, so someone could have taken off the longhorn bed and painted it. Then swapped the 305 for the 350 and swapped a T350 for the T400. I have no idea. But I will whenever I get to it on Monday. So hold all of your horses, especially the one taking over your truck.

Re: 71 Cheyenne C30 Project
if you remove a longhorn bed... that is 8 1/2 feet, then install a regular 8 foot bed, then my math says there would be a huge 6 inch gap between the cab and bed.

Re: 71 Cheyenne C30 Project
Lord have mercy, this is getting firey already. Get 'em Long!
Lol, I don't know, They could've just bought a badge and tossed it on there and called it 1 ton. Or maybe they took the horn bed off and moved the mounts and put a normal bed on and quick painted it. The first seems more likely, but I have no idea. Quit your back and forths, fellas. All will be answered soon. |
Re: 71 Cheyenne C30 Project
Does the truck still have the option sticker on the inside of the glove box door? The VIN is on that too.

Re: 71 Cheyenne C30 Project
I know how to solve all of this. Take off all the emblems, and call it One Sweet Truck! :D
