They say they do but we scuffed and painted mine and it sure scuffed REAL easy with a scotchbrite pad. I can't imagine it would hold up to much.

Was gonna buy the plain one to start with but got such a good deal on this one and it didn't take as much prep work to paint it so it worked out pretty good.

Very nice eightbanger....are you not running an ac comp or is it down low??

eightbanger 01-26-2011 07:01 AM

Re: Big block engine bay pics!!

Thanks Carlos, the AC was already disconnected by the PO, I decided recently to remove the compressor and other stuff as it was just extra weight and clutter not being used, I do like the idea of it being an AC Truck though...you never know we might get hot weather in the U.K one day:lol:

Check out my thread. I did have some minor clearance issues with my tall valve covers. Only because I had clearance issues with my headers though. If you mount in the front holes there should be no problem.

Nicely done Hezie. Very clean. Couple of questions for ya, what kind of temps does it run without the bypass hose? And, what type of hose clamps are those on the radiator hose? Thx.

nice Hezie, really nice. what kind of valve covers are those and do you think they'd fit under all my brackets.

Re: Big block engine bay pics!!

Hezie...very nice also...but why does one of the valve covers looks milky and the other polished? Maybe is the pic....

Thanks, no, not a serpentine setup... you cant do that with the supercharger setup. I am farther along, but dont have any more pics just yet. Oh yea, I just clearanced and welded the aluminum valve covers to fit the supercharger and firewall.

Hey Hezie... I really like the way you did your brake lines... Beutiful!

Re: Big block engine bay pics!!

Thank's Guy's.
Dynomutt :The temp's run around 160-180 . It has a huge radaitor 4*4inch flue fluidine. You can run with no bypass but you have to have a way to vent the air in the system.I have a Shaw thermostat that came with vent holes in it.The clamps are Gates heat shrink type I got them at NAPA they are a one use only thing but very clean.

Custom1970: They are old Cal Custom covers they arent real high but they cover the roller rockers. From the looks of your ac bracket I don't think they will work on your setup.

Clos69:I spent 7 + years on the build,Paid almost what I could have bought a new set for,And have never finished polishing them.Once I had it running I am having to much fun driving it.The plan is to do that this spring.
