It will fit any 350. If your engine is 86 or older there will be one hole in the front of the passenger side cylinder head you will not have. I used and sold these w/o using this mounting hole with no problems. These use the "long" water pump with reverse rotation. The sample that I have pictured is bolted to a common 69-86 350 engine. It will not work with 68 and older cylinder heads as they do not have accessory holes.

If you don't have AC there is a idler pulley that takes the place of the AC pump. I may have this idler pulley in place of the AC pump. Yes it will fit the SB 400.

Hi, do you have any left? Also, where do I get the belt? If I want to use a local auto part store like auto zone, what would I ask for?

Also, I have an alternator and PS pump for a 350; would I be able to use those, or do I need to get the ones wit your kit?

Yes I still have them. You would need to use the kit complete. Your alt and P/S will not fit. Thanks, Tom

You will need a new water pump, belt, and pig tail for alt.

What year truck are the alt, PS pump, and A/C pump out of? Also what would shipping be to 32068(home) or 32257(bussiness addy)? Also are they new items or tested used ones?

Shipping to the bussiness is 63.80, I have several of these off 89-95. Thanks, Tom

Hey Tom,

What water pump does this use and can I find it locally? How much wiring trouble to replace old ext. reg. alt? Thanks

As far as parts go just pick a year, 89-95 pick-up C1500 or K1500. All the parts (water pump, idler pulleys, power steering pump, alternator, A/C compressor, pulleys, drive belt) for these serpentine systems are interchangeable.

I'm subscribing. Would love to get a setuo to finish my 350, but the little one's 1st birthday is very close and we have to have a party. I'll definitely be hitting you up when I get the funds.

Thanks,
Chris

The water pump is very common that any parts house would stock. It fits any 88-95 C/K truck and some passenger cars. A sure way to identify the correct pump is that it will NOT have any accessory holes. Nothing bolts to the pump on these serpentine setups. These alternaters require a "exciter wire" which is a key on hot wire. You may want to consult a wiring wizard be sure how to do correctly.
Thanks, Tom

Re: Serpentine belt conversions

Tom,

Do you have a SB kit available? I'm interested in a kit but without the following:

-No fan or clutch (I'm using electric)
-No A/C Compressor (I'm using Sanden Comp)

I'm using an 87 (late model with two bolt attachment) power steering pump. It's hard to tell in your photo but I think its the same? I want to keep what I have as it's part of a hydroboost system and the pump is brand new. I will need the pulley for it though.

My block/heads are newer w/accessory holes.

Thoughts? Price?

Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike, your 87 pump will not fot this bracket kit. The can (reservior) is timed wrong for the bracket. I could do it with a dual return pump assembly or just the reservoir to accomadate your hydro boost brakes. Also you could put your new pump in this reservior. The fan and clutch in these kits are basicly a gift as the value is in the AC, Alt, and brackets. I could take off 50.00 if I keep the AC pump.
Thanks, Tom

The sbc kits run about 60.00 shipping. The bbc kits have cast iron brackets so it will weight more therfor shipping will be more, I'm guessing about 75.00. This will be off a 94-95 454. I can get pics Monday. I actually have two of these so if you want one it's yours. Thanks, Tom
