I just received my Dirty Dingo motor mounts and compressor mount, but no instructions for the bag of bolts!
Could you show me a pic of the compressor mounted and the idler?

Thanks

GM part number 9220232 is for a 2010 Camaro exhaust manifold collector gasket. Its a metal (looks like stainless) gasket with crush ring of what looks like the old stlye (think lead and brillo pad) material... It has the 2.5" inner diameter.

I also bought a FelPro gasket of the same design but for a 3" diameter exhaust. I may make another set of flanges with the 3" hole. I only bought them becasue I thought they were the correct ones but couldn't get the dimensions. Not cheap at $18 each so I'll see if I can make them work for a 3" exhaust....

3 Attachment(s)
i went to my local napa store for the gaskets and exhaust studs and nuts.
studs and nuts are the same without the hex end on the stud.

and i did cut off the factory LM7 y-pipes and they do fit TBSS manifolds.

How thick are the flanges on the TBSS Manifolds at the head?

I tried to order a set of these online through one of the online GM parts suppliers, and after the order was processed, was told that the left hand manifold #12600526 was not available, with no date for availability.Following up,they tell me it is most likely that the left TBSS manifold has been discontinued.Being that these manifolds was used on a fairly limited amount of vehicles it is likely that GM will just sell what is left, and that will be it.The right hand and heat shields are currently available.

Dorman has an aftermarket manifold, appears to be the same, but is more than double the cost.

They seem to have the same basic profile as the 2010+ Camaro manifolds. I wouldn't spend the $400+ USD... They build Camaros in Canada.... find some take off manifolds...

I'm looking at buying an 04 2500HD with 6.0/4L80E. Will the stock manifolds on it not fit my '73 C20? Can a little clearancing be done? Probably going with the Dirty Dingo sliders, no AC.

look through this thread... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=566743
most are using tbss manifolds camaro manifolds or headers. from what i understand there needs to be come frame cutting to make the stock manifolds work. they ARE wide. i dont like the idea of cutting up an original short wb frame.

It really depends on exactly where you place the engine. In my '86, I used the stock truck manifolds and only had to trim a place in the passenger's frame rail about 1/2 inch "deep".

slotard 01-25-2015 09:50 PM

Re: Stock Manifold Options for LS Swaps

1/2" is significant trim, but I suppose I could add a little reinforcement to the flange (and maybe the web too). Where did you place your engine?

scored some TBSS manifolds for 30 shipped! has one section of a downpipe...so i need to source another or find a flange that works

Re: Stock Manifold Options for LS Swaps

Not sure if this is common knowledge but the 2012+ Camaro ZL1 exhaust manifolds are stainless steel versions of the common 2010+ Camaro SS manifolds. Headers are a common upgrade on ZL1s so you can usually find low mileage versions around the web.

I ordered a pair from gmpartsdirect. left side back ordered. no time frame to be shipped. they said "we cant cancel whole order." I contacted another online parts seller about availability... left side back ordered from gm. I couldn't find a part number for left side dorman... so I found a Buick Ranier, cross referenced to same part number. $45 ea. however shipping may be $$
I convinced them to cancel order.

12622623 and 12622624 for left and right, respectively. The heat shields are 12596750 and 12611200. List price for all that is $1291.39! I think I'd just buy some headers :)
