Hey Bryan, I'm glad to see that you're doing a build thread on this. I got to see your truck at Kyle's when I picked up my truck. Great story, great project!

Re: 24 years later....here we go

Zoomin, Im learning alot from this project. When I get it back Im going to go over the frame with chassis black one more time and check all of the bolts again before I stab the engine and trans. I have all new brake stuff from inline tube, master cylinder, lines, etc. The 4/6 drop kit is in with new wheel bearings, tie rod ends, ball joints, etc. All new wire harness'. Gonna go with a vintage air or old air kit, not sure which as of yet. It will have blue carpet, parchment door panels and headliner, blue dash pad, and blue/blue houndstooth bench. At least thats the plan. Cant decide on a wheel but I like the Streeter Showwheels polished in an 18 or 20 with a 40 series tire. I like a taller sidewall like on SatcoJims blue truck. Thanks for your interest. I will have updates coming in about a week or so...

Kyle has made some great progress. Gonna go get her Sunday and start putting it together. I have to drill the holes for the moulding which is why its staying in primer for now. When it goes back to him he will do the bed, tail gate, cowl, and hood. Im excited to see it, Im sure it looks even better in person:metal:

Camaro tach installed. One more coat of chassis black before engine and brake lines. Hung some wire and put all new brake lines from inline tube on. My brother and I set the engine and transmission today and ran the cooler lines. Its coming together but a long ways to go...:metal:

All you lack now is finishing up. :metal:

I wish the paint on my Skylark was as nice as your firewall. Your truck is going to be sweet.

couln't a person put the metering valve in the frame channel unstead of on the fire wall. Just wanted to know for I would like to put it some where else.

You can mount your proportioning valve anywhere you want. You will just have to re bend lines to the new location and up to the master..
