Yeah,I see those pop up from time to time. Morgan actually made one many years ago

the way they zip around in those things makes me keep thinking about building a mini ratrod truck with a motorcycle engine up front ;)

Vividly! We were living in Miami at the time. The news covereage of those events is completely differenty (sympathizing) and is almost daily in South Florida. I was pissed because they used it for target practice off the coast. I think it belongs in a museum and those guys should have gotten a pass on style alone! I later sat next to a coast guard officer on a plane and heard many more stories about Floating Cubans and I implored him not to sink the next cool one!

That thing was awesome. They ran out of gas or might have made it. I know there were more, but never saw them in the news around here.

If you can tell me what this is...

That's a Stude.I don't know the year but it was down toward the end of production.
Also an interesting thing about the Morgan,no rust on the frame.Mostly because they used a wooden frame.

 I think I've seen that toe truck before. So,it's local,eh?

I knew that black truck had Stude pieces, but never knew of any pickups in that style. I had a '61 Champ and they looked the same through '64. I'm thinking someone grafted a later car clip on a Champ. I believe '64 was the last year in the US and production of everything but the Avanti? Here's '64 Challenger..."The Plain Brown Wrapper":

Here's a '64 Daytona:
