Kidding of course, but you suck AND I hate you! That is an unbeleiveable deal. It'd be a great deal for the engine alone but with a 700R4? Geez! |
Re: Jesses' 48 PU
Dont hate Armorget, I can haggle with the best....and thats exactly what i did. The guy wanted 800. But i was able to talk him down. Truth be told i heard it run for about 20minutes, didnt see any smoke nor did i see water in the oil.
But i will open it up and hope for the best. My neighbor owns a transmission shop so, ill have to be nice to him this year.... Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: Jesses' 48 PU
Hey Dan, yes I added a piece at a time on each side, allowing some cool down time. I cut all of my pieces and tacked them first. I then switched sides welding. And im still measuring..it seems to be holding.

Re: Jesses' 48 PU
Oh, by the way. I gain nothing by lieing about my engine /trans deal. All i know its sitting in my garage and thats what i paid... Didnt realize it was that great of a deal since they are all over craigslist in Houston.

Well here is what i did today, cut off the front stub, closed up the frame and welded a crossmember in front and bolted one in the rear, mounted the frame on two engine stands. I will remove the suspension tomorrow and flip it over so i can finish boxing in the from from the bottom. Posted via Mobile Device |

I removed the suspension, flipped the chassis over so i could weld the underside of the frame. Took me longer then expected, welded small pieces inside the frame for support. Tack welded the last pieces to box it in, but was tired and quit. Will take some good pics later.

I finished boxing in the frame. Since i flipped the frame, i only took close up pics of the under side of the frame. Next step, box in the frame in the rear so i can fit the Explorer leaf springs. Posted via Mobile Device |
