a lady i know locally has her cobra stuck in the garage
caught with those on she got some hefty fines, plates seized, but thats here

that's too bad, but if I had a cobra, I'd put whatever i had to on it just to be able to drive it.
all i can say is i'm glad i'm here :)

I redid the entire exhaust with the 2 1/4 inch kit from summit racing. I tucked them up before the leaf springs and put 4 inch slanted tips on there. They're about half an inch away from the body. Close to the gas tanks, but I ditched the side saddle tanks and put in a blazer tank in the back.

how did you do the single tank? i want to get rid of the saddle tanks on my truck too. is there a place to mount the single tank in the back or do you have to rig it?

I bought a 31 gallon Suburban tank and mounted it in the back. I had to drill out my crossmembers and relocate them. Check out post #48 of MY BUILD THREAD. The video shows a quick glimpse of the tank. I still need to take pics of it and post it to my thread. Also, check out THIS LINK. It has a vague step by step of how Captkaos did his tank swap.

Also, @i heart square bodys, I just finished my new side exit exhaust. I'll take some pics and maybe a video tonight and try to get them on here..

so what was the point of him putting the spare tire thing back on? i thought he was gonna use it to bolt the straps to but it looks like theyre bolted to some angle iron...

It's to hold the tank from the top. the straps hold it from the bottom, and he needed something to push it back down. I used angle iron, personally. I know it's confusing, I didn't know what it was for until I actually dove into it myself.

Anyway, here are pics of my new exhaust setup. You can see how close it is to the ebrake. Doesn't bother me, and doesn't hurt anything. I've driven it quite a few miles like this.

And here is an exhaust video link to youtube I made earlier.
