I'll be using a wood floor and priced it out from sokyclassics with everything but the wood itself for around $1800 and they quoted me about $530 shipping to a residential address in NJ. I'm sure your shipping would be much less due to you being in Tennessee.

I picked up my new fleetside bed kit from So. Ky. Classics this morning and got it bolted together this afternoon. Things seem to go together pretty well and lined up as good as could be expected. It seems to be a good quality kit and is gonna look good once it's set into place. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase, and would buy the same kit again if in the market for a bed.

What was the cost please ?

I'll post some pictures later tonight when I return home. The cost was $2185 after a 5% online discount. I picked it up from their shop in Bowling Green as it's only 45-60 mins away.

I'm just looking at the thickness of the metal, the fit of one panel to the other, etc. Shiney is good too but for me I just want to make sure its close to factory spec. I have seen and heard horror stories of 1/2 gap between the panels and stuff. As long as they fit fairly close to original spec and won't dent if someone leans on it.. (?). I may go this route.

i don't know if you seen my previous post but , i did alot of sheetmetal thumping and the bed i got from soky was by far the best metal i checked
if anything get the bed floor from them very heavy duty and no gaps in mine
i bought a smooth tailgate from LMC and that was the only probelm i had out of sheetmetal

If they're this good, then I'm going this route too absolutely.. maybe they have stepped up their quality (?). I'm curious to see one. Bowling Green is not far from me at all. I may be taking a road trip soon myself :metal: I just thought they were thin and didn't fit this good.

my only regret is not getting the bedsides without stake holes

WITHOUT STAKE holes boy that would be the neatest thing......

Re: goodmark repro bed

I've had aftermarket sides and compared them to factory and the gauge was actually slightly thicker than factory. They also weighed more despite the factory sides having paint and trim on them. Also, the NOS tailgate I had weighed slightly less than the triplus reproduction gate. Plus, the welds are better on the new gates quite honestly...

there are some cheap parts out there...I've seen some ok dynacorn and some really thin... only bad triplus panels I've had/heard of were old reproduction doors but those are fixed now and lower door inner panels (those are waaay off...)

The $2185 I paid was not including tax since I was out of state and no shipping since I picked it up. I think they normally charge $2300 for a bed kit, with a lettered tailgate, and slightly less for one with a plain jane tailgate. Everything bolted up well. The tailgate fit well, and the gaps on each side were dead on. Woodall Industries makes their sheetmetal in Taiwan, and SoKy Classics is the retail side of things. The fella I spoke to while I was there said that they sell quite a few bed parts to the other vendors around...LMC, Classic Parts, etc. I didn't get any really close up pictures of the gaps, just a couple throughout assembly. It still isn't bolted to the frame, so my body lines may be off slightly, but that will be taken care of on the next go trip.

Bed looks great, this is definitely the direction I'm going with mine but I'll be ordering mine without stake pockets or marker lights.

Yep, I'm going this route too unless I find a prestine SWB fleet bed off of a 10k mile Cheyenne Super in the next few months.. :D

I just ordered a pair of bedsides for my project, got tired of searching for OEM stuff. I've been hear good things about the repop bed stuff, can't wait to see them !

Now I'm thinking I should have ordered a new floor too !!!

I am converting from metal floor to wood floor. I have a new head board, fenderwells, cross braces, tailgate and bed sides. I should be priming them this week and bolting it all together to check the fit. I did not have a way to weigh the bed sides but feel heavier than the factory ones.

I got my bedsides from GMCPauls and the wood floor kit from Mark-k's I'm happy with them both. I have a little less than $2000 all together.
