Here is BLZNCST. just got it home from the painter and made room in my shop. The top is a GM off white color and the back bumper is the same.

I realize this is an old thread but figured there wasn’t much point starting a new one I was curious as to what would be the best way to go about finding out what color my truck is. Well I know what it is but if it’s still the original color as I think it’s been repainted at some stage although I’m not 100% sure. Is there an easy way to tell if it’s been repainted? Is it just a case of taking it to a reputable paint shop and seeing what they think? The reason I ask is I’m toying with the idea of getting a hard bed cover made and wondering if I can just give them the paint code or weather it would be safer getting it sent in primer and taking both it and the truck to the painter.

I was looking thru this post and thought I would include a follow up picture to the picture I posted here on Aug 13, 2017. My truck has progressed just a little bit....

Here is what bruceman1968 says: sounds like it's going to be a nice lookin truck. Your paint code is 462. 462 is a two-tone code. 462 breaks down by chart, to code 522 Bronze and code 521 white. So the two paint codes for your truck that the bodyshop will need are 522 and 521. Any good paint store can figure that out from the 462 paint code.

I forgot about this thread I had posted a while back. I ended up going with the original color. Solid 528 Dark Bronze ploy. I like it. It's one of those colors that looks like a completely different tone in the light or in the shade.

I'm building a little 3 step platform finished in medium bronze that will let me walk right in.... no, I'm seriously thinking about lowering the truck some. I'm just worried that I will wish I had left it be. I wish I knew how to split the difference in where it is now and where I think stock height is.

Thanks. You have a super nice Blazer. I had a 72 Blazer back in the 90's, I really had good times with it. Fun to drive. Got corvette fever and sold the 72 Blazer, wish I still had it.

tim71 - that thing is sweet. Way cleaner than mine, especially the interior. I also went for a 2in lift and it ended up 4.5 total. Guess it was 2in from stock height not crusty sagging spring height.

Love the 522 medium bronze metallic with the off white top.

My farmer boss had a new 69 4X4 in this color and used it to heard cattle while at age 14, I stood in the back with a lariat. Never fell out but came close. He would jamb the manual trans into reverse while going 20 MPH then the mud came from the other direction.

Love this color combo!!!
Almost the same color code 301 "Medium Copper Metallic" on my 1976 Datsun 280Z I bought used while working at the dealer as a tech.
