Sweet ride.....so how much of the spring did you cut? So you've been driving it...any rubbing or wishing it was'nt quite that low? I really like how it sits Im getting ready to do a clip on my 57 burb. Im thinking about sinking the subframe into the frame an inch or so instead of cutting the springs. Cool that you saved your dads truck.

Re: 1957 chevy family truck

Just 1 coil and in the beginning I had issues but a friend of mine told me to switch to a pre 56 car wheel (pre 56 are 15 inch wheels) worked out there more shallow, the ralleys were sitting out a little to much so I had rubbing issues, the rides real nice I just added rear bags when I go up drive ways I was leaving half my bumper but now I just lift up the rear

heres the wheels im running funny story about these is i pick them up for a buddy of mine in atascadero that while me and and my wife were heading to the coast he said he found a guy parting out a 56 chevy and he was getting the wheels i said we were heading that way i'll grab them for you he was using them on a ad truck he was building but ended up selling the truck so i ended up with the wheels Attachment 1167535

I guess my grandpa had one of my uncles friends two tone it back in the 70's every time a new paint job went on no one removed the chrome so when I stripped down the body the white was still on there. thought it was cool I did something to it my grandpa had original added way back
