Doesn't run under its own power yet so you only get a picture on the lift, but here's mine (Custom Camper, not a Longhorn, but same deal). And yep, I'm very fortunate to have a lift and a nice shop (I earned it - not a trust fund baby)... but if it helps, I turn my own wrenches. Well, everything except paint and automatic transmissions, anyway.

Did you really think I would get that wrong???? :-)

By definition all factory C30 Fleetside pickups from 68-72 are Longhorns. C30 Stepsides (9' beds) do not have a catchy sales name.

Really? So you could NOT get a C30 with a regular wheelbase (127)?

Correct, C30 was 133" WB
C20 was 127" and 133", but not 115"
C10 was 115" and 127", but not 133"

Correct.
CK20's had 127" wheelbase.
C20 Longhorns (C30 frame) and all C30 pickups had a 133" wheelbase.
C30 chassis cabs were also offered in 157" version as a regular production model.

Here is one I picked up a little over a year ago. It is a CST/30 and had some nice options such as bucket seats, AC, speed warning and manual throttle.

You're doing a knock-out job on that Custom Camper

Since we've got a lot of Longhorn guys on the thread, I'll bring up the nagging issue that has haunted humanity since 1970: the lack of proper valve cover decals. Two examples below. I think these are unique to a 402 Longhorn, or at least that's the ONLY place I've ever seen them.

If I can find a good original set to copy from photos of, I'll do the art and get some reproduced. But I just can't find a good enough original for it to be more than "close".

Since we're talking Longhorns, I'll throw in this graphic that I made that shows the relative sizes.

Factory 4x4 I made into longhorn may be putting up for sale soon. But hate to. I have GM doors and aftermarket fenders yet to put on.

I can't help. The PO rebuilt the big block and had repainted the valve covers. I have an untouched 72 out here with the decal still on it, but it's not a Longhorn.

The green one looks familiar.

Are you going to be up here Saturday for the Crawdad Days Car Show? If the rain will stay away we are going to have a heck of a turnout.

No, I'm committed to a local show but one of these days I'm going to make it up there.

Thanks that is exactly why it is in my signature, to get the word out.
Just to keep the OP happy (not a problem I'm sure) here is another Longhorn picture, 1969 CST/20 not my favorite colors but dressed very typically of these trucks in use by the original owners.

SSTim re: post 27, yeah boy what was I ever thinking??!! Well I couldn't see the line on the bed for the extra 8 inches and I didn't see the longhorn emblem on the rear of the side panel so if course I had to ask! Funny should have known better! Thanks for the great info on c30s too. I like the camper set up but haven't seen those mirrors before like those on that medium olive 1969 CST20

this ol girl is on ebay right now! Nice old white over hugger - might be very popular, but I love this color combo. It's a custom camper also.

My fault, missed the fact the Longhorn emblem was missing from the left side!

The mirrors are the RPO DG5 West Coast Mirrors. You see them mostly on working C30 and up trucks and not as often now as you used to. As you can imagine those semi-truck size heads see a lot behind you but also block a lot to the sides too. Me I like them but even so a set of campers like the DF2s are a probably better for anything less than a full time camper hauler/trailer toter.

So to add to the pics.
A front on of a set of DG5s on a pickup.
69 C20 Longhorn with the not often seen stand alone B85 belt molding like Razorbackers' truck has. Aftermarket mirrors.
