Re: Kevin's 1972 build thread (slow motion)
i also rec'd my impala SS rear brakes
that i ordered from rock auto i got left and right calipers for $60.00 total i had no clue that i would get the caliper, brake pads and brackets for the above price. the down side is that i ordered caliper brackets, at 11.00 each and didnt need to since the calipers came loaded and also came with the brackets it was very easy to set up a return authorization on the website, but i lost 6 bucks on shipping but, again i still feel that i got a good deal on those parts i have already installed captain fabs, SS brackets i kit that is right up my alley!! the quality and the price cant be beat!! http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t...ps0a16f8b1.jpg http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t...psf1985799.jpg |

i was also able to clean my gas tank with muriatic acid (4.00) at Lowes
and i used por15 tank sealer that i got from Amazon (44.00) if i remember correctly , it came out really nice!! i still need to get a new fuel float and sending unit. i have 1/2 inch fuel line my plan is to drill a hole into the top of the unit and instal my bulkhead complete with the fuel proof nylon gaskets that way my fuel system will be ready for any upgrades that i can think of i just need to figure out how to install the metal sock/filter onto the half inch line :waah: ok i think that is all that ive done so far wait, i do have one pic of what i did with my brake booster lol saw this mod on power-block tv it was on a 240 and i thought it was cool and borrowed the idea lol |

Re: Kevin's 1972 build thread (slow motion)
need to order some stainless button head bolts and shave and fill the top mounting bolts from the old booster combo:uhmk:
|
Re: Kevin's 1972 build thread (slow motion)
if only i could find a long enough steel bulkhead an fitting i would have used it as a mounting point for the master
but something of a higher power intervened and prevented that from being possible |
Re: Kevin's 1972 build thread (slow motion)
ahhh one more thing
i started the fuel line install but stopped as i need to get the engine between the rails question will i be ok with having hardlines from tank to engine? or will i need to add a flex line or rubber fuel line near the engine |
