The A/C evaporation box before my son Clay restored it. He only changed the fan and expansion valve. Then cleaned, polished and clear-coated it. Sent the POA valve to Benny Sanchez in Texas for a R134 calibration.

Greetings neighbor! Great job on your pickup! One of my favorite two tone combos. Love what you did with the engine, looks fantastic.

Thanks, mine also. I'm a Montana native. Grew up in Hardin and moved to Idaho in 87. Actually have some NOS parts that I think are in Laurel for pickup or to be shipped. A front bumper and inner grille for our other 72.

I put a 2" tuff country lift with 33's on my K10 but after seeing the pic in your avatar I almost wish I went with the 4" like yours, looks great!

Thought about a 2" or 2 1/2" lift, but couldn't help myself and went for the 4".
Glad I did, it looks even better in person.

I see in post #11 you mentioned you would use a 4x10 over the 5x7 speaker the next time. What was the reason exactly?

For A/C equipped pickups the room between the upper center vent and front of dash does not allow room for the 5" width. We hacked the crap out of to fit. It originally had a 4x10 that fit tightly, but fit. I let Retro Sound talk me into the 5x7. My mistake. By the way the stereo system is unbelievable good sounding. With the gas tanks behind the seat, stereo options are limited.

Thank you all,
The whole goal of the project is to build it to original or better standards but also make it my pickup. From the very first vehicle I had to my new pickup that I drive now they have all been customized. Lift the 4x4s and lower the 2WDs and cars.
When this one is done the lift and wheels could be pulled off of it and it would look all original.

Resto looking awesome. Barely getting subscribed before the build is over. Beautiful truck. Nothing better than a heavily optioned K10 SWB in a killer color combo. Can't wait for more pics.

Thank You, Subscribed to your great build also. My boys and I will be doing all the metal work on a 71 K5 while we are getting the final paint on the K10. The Blazer is the same color as yours (red). Looks like we'll be replacing most of the same metal on it. The owner hasn't decide if he's going LS engine or keeping it original.
