Looks like you're making good progress. Hope you looked into the legal aspects of this for your state.

Alaska doesn't have emission inspections so I don't think there will be an issue. But I should probably check into it

That is going to be a cool truck. I have a 1991 suburban, last of the boxy looking trucks, and my future plans are to drop the body on a 3/4 ton 4x4 duramax chassis. I am interested to see how yours comes out.

I like it! Where in AK are you?

I have often thought how cool would an old c10/20 be on a newer chassis/interior....

I'm in Valdez. I'm already building another one on a 2005 Duramax frame. I'm going to use the 05 interior and seats on that one

You are making that look a lot easier than it must be. Cool project.

This. The OP is like now, just drop the bed on the frame, bolt it up... and you're done!

Crazy progress if this is happening real time. Cant wait to see the result! :metal:

I agree, it seems so easy but there has to be some road blocks along the way right??

Thats sick! I want to go the other way... I have a 2004 dirtymax I want to donate to repower my 70 c20. I think its more of a swap than I can manage though!

Keep up the updates! I am way up in Fairbanks, but the 12 weeks a year I get to drive my c20 makes it all worthwhile!

I was wondering how the wheels would line up with the body. The wheel base is 115" (tahoe) vs 116" (pickup)

Looking good thou. Not something I would ever try.

What are you doing for mounts to the body?

I'm using the 2001 cushions on the cab. The mounting location lines up with the framerail

Man it's looking great! Keep the pics coming I have been thinking about this since I bought my 68 but the couple I have found keep the floor pan and cowl from the donor ride and I want to do the whole cab like your Dooing.
