Just saw these '69 Blazers with boats in the Johnny Lightning Gone Fishing release. Unfortunately, they have wake board boats as opposed to fishing boats.

The GL Silver Streak is cool. Although they could have left the logo off the truck so it didn't look like an RV show circuit vehicle and less like real world.

Finally! A couple more JL Blazers! Those will be cooler out of the pkg w/o the silly "Gone fishing/didn't know I bought a ski boat" theme

Now Hot Wheels, when ya gonna make another cool '70 Blazer?

That's a casting they need to use more. It's only had 7 releases with the last one being in 2014. They've all been premium releases so far with metal bases and Real Riders, but I wouldn't complain if they'd slap a plastic base on it and release it in the mainline.

I haven't had any action for so long I don't consider myself an active collector. Haven't quit on it, just nothing new. I just stumbled on these Blazers on Ebay. Looks like a Johnny Lightning

This isn't a GM truck. I have always liked Willys pickups and I just came across this replica that I'd like to share. Would like to buy it but that's not happening. If I was still as active as I used to be I would already have ordered this.

Re: News Flash!!

I hear Greenlight is doing a bunch of Indy 500 pickups, including a '67 Chevy and both '81 and '83 GMC's in 1/64th. scale next year. What is kind of aggravating is that Greenlight is doing all kinds of Ford pickups in 1/64, 1/48, and even 1/18 scale. '67-'72 Chevys only come in 1/64th.. Strange considering the popularity of the Chevy's!

I really want to see someone do a nice 1/25 kit of a '67-'72 GM pickup. The only kits available have been reissues of the hoary old AMT longbed C/10. That kit is a mess, it's a bunch of AMT and MPC promo parts with an updated smallblock engine. Very hard to make something decent out of it. The 1972 K/5 Blazer kit is much better.

Re: News Flash!!

While I appreciate what Greenlight is doing with producing more 'replica-like' quality scale models, they could really use a proper GM Truck consultant. They frustrate me with getting them 'almost right' or completely wrong. I go to a farm toy shop in Feb and a guy there sells the GL stuff. He has a shop in VA, I guess a hobby shop, and has worked with GL to produce some of their 67-72 issues. The red and white with cap version called Pop's Ride or whatever was his own dad's truck... which turned out well. But others, like the darker blue & white Midnight 'something' version that he took part in are not close to any GM color. When I mentioned, as just another buyer at a show, that's it's a shame GL doesn't get the colors right, that they need an expert consultant, he didn't want to heaar it. Said the colors are spot on. The hobby shop is a side business. Th main business is a Mustang restoration shop. Go figure. Rather than challenge the guy I shook my head, bought a couple trucks, and moved on
