Got the grill disasembled, parts sent for powder coating. I cleaned and sprayed new color on the letters, look pretty good.

Hey Clyde, that grille looks beautiful! Also love the rest of the truck.
I have a question if you don't mind answering about the rear suspension setup you have. I have seen your other posts about the truck bed trailer you have and the sweet camper as well, and I was wondering how the truck handled it with being lowered. I want to lower mine some, but still want to be able to tow a truck bed trailer and my dad's Champion bass boat. Thanks in advance!

That grill looks amazing!! As well as the rest of the truck.

Clyde...Your truck looks great.....What color did you paint the interior? My truck is original white so Im going back with the same color but wanted a different interior color.

Grill parts powder coated, new trim rings and headlight doors. New lights, mine were 20 years old, went with some HID bulbs and will use the relay harness.

Thank You Johns66!

I tried ( yeah I know) to match the grey of the 60/61 but it came out much darker than I expected and the painter expected. It’s a medium charcoal kind of color.

I thought about fawn but I didn’t think it would go with my silver rally’s and seats...now I’m thinking of going with a bright blue ( like a 65 Impala)for the carpet, seats and kick panels.

Thanks cwcarpenter98!

I haven’t driven Clyde and Bonnie( the Camper) together much, I put air bags on Clyde to handle the weight and be lowered. I had 4” drop springs and they were way to soft, almost dragging the ground. With the airbags, I just air them up to (45# driving) whatever is needed to handle the extra weight.

It really depends on how much you want to lower it. 2” wont hurt you at all.

Thanks! I want to lower it some, but I don't think it will happen any time soon. Got too much on my plate.

I really like the grille and the fresh powder coated parts. Did you use new screws for the bulb retainer rings? I'm missing some screws, and I have no idea where to get some from

Clyde.....I like the darker/medium charcoal...looks really good with the white.....I am thinking of either chrome wheels or a gunmetal/charcoal wheel/

Yours is looking really good.

I got my headlight fasteners from Classic Parts of America, but Brothers has them also.

Thanks Johns66, if I could get a weekend that is about 50 and dry, I could probably get this thing done by summer!

I have to decide on the interior( seats and carpet) I bought a light grey rubber matt from ACC and am thinking a silver or light grey.
Folks tell me bright blue like a 65 Impala....

One step closer to legal for old Clyde, got him inspected and drove around for a couple hours. Needs an alignment.
Also ordered these from Brothers, very nice even though they are from overseas.
