Watched the latest and saw your announcement for starting another cab. Cant wait for the full floor video. I feel like an 80's kid again, waiting for next week's episode of the A-Team or Dukes of Hazzard to come out! I'm subscribed to your channel, but is there anything else we can do to help your channel out?

Ah the A-Team days... Mom would record them on VHS for us while we were at school. I lived to come home and watch the A Team and MacGyver.

Yep, the plan is to have another cab here in the next week or two. Im excited to have a step by step on that finished for sure just because I know the value in it.... having now basically completed a full floor pan replacement, all 4 pillars and rockers.... Sure would have saved me a heck of a lot of thinking.... Its just a ton of work and honestly I had a hard time convincing myself of doing it. Need the $ to continue with my truck is my justification.

Recording everything then having to edit it is pretty time consuming compared to just doing it and not explaining/recording everything. The goal for 2021 is to get over 1k subscribers that way the channel will get monetized and that means I would get paid a few bucks every 1000 views. Just some extra bucks to say it wasn't a total loss for me lol. There is someone on this forum that put together a video series on some portions of the cab work that sells copies for around $100. I dont think their dvd shows the extent mine does or shows a floor pan install. Id rather put it up for all to view for free and if it gets me anything in the end, so be it. The only reason I learned is because others have taught me free of charge. Not too long ago I couldn't afford the $100 dvd. Its just my way of paying it forward.

One thing I find weird is 85% of the time watched (which total is almost 30k minutes) is from people who aren't subscribed. That's neither here nor there though.

I decided I would try to record the Drivers Side from start to finish so there was a complete step by step video series on this. I know there are a lot of bits and pieces on youtube and a lot of good threads but the videos skip a lot of steps. I know it would have made my life easier so here you go.

MAY70 I wanted to take a minute and say thank youfor these videos. I am taking on this task of replacing inner and outter rockers along with some floor supports and pan. I enjoyed watching your process and they way you explained what you were doing. Although everyone one of these jobs is unique and has it's own challenges I truly believe you did a great job and have been able to put people in the right direction and not set them up for failure. I plan on documenting mine and I hope I can post it and do as good of a job as you do !! I will be tig welding my stuff though :) Thanks again brother.

Thanks Conoco, I want to eventually get a tig machine but that's way out of the budget at the moment. Maybe after I finish the truck, hah... My left hand is nearly worthless though so that will be a hard learn.

I have only been tig welding for a couple years now. It was the most frustrating thing I had ever done for my first month and a half. I would spend about 2 hrs everynight in my garage why the wife and kids were asleep.

On a side note you can get the "Prime weld" TIG225X AC/DC TIG Welder With Pulse. It is the best price out there and nothing but good reviews. I got one about 5 months ago and it has taken me to a whole differnt level. You can also get it with AFFIRM payments. My payments were only $52 dollars a month. Check it out sometime. Pulse settings are the reason I am using this for the rockers !! Also able to fab up my own headers, that will be trial and error though. Thanks for the videos and stay safe.

Thanks I've been trying to put videos up as I go. Not a whole lot of time lately but I've posted a hand full of videos since the last I shared here.

Re: Youtube channel with how to videos on metal work

Appreciate your videos - (I'm a subscriber) - Most of the metal work is done on my project except the outer rocker, which it close, but not exact. Looking forward to trying out some of the things you shared in your content.

Would love to see a 'how to' on aligning the door latch/catch on these trucks - always a pain to get that thing lined up.

Keep up the great work!

Re: Youtube channel with how to videos on metal work

Happy to say the channel hit 1000 subscribers which has been a goal of mine, its actually just at 1100 now. I'm very happy with that.

I finished an upload today because I finally had some time and felt like doing it. Engine is finishing up at the machine shop so good stuff in store. Been too long, ready to get back in the groove.

Just an update video on the firewall mods and some frame stuff.

Thanks for the support.
