I have read a lot of different builds but it's amazing that no matter how many you read you always see something different in each one. Great job and I look forward to watching the progress.

Thanks. I enjoy reading all of the builds, learning and picking out things that I want to incorporate into my build.

I've been using a place in Cartersville called Steel Products. They do a great job. I only have the frame and a few pieces left to do. They have a 30 foot oven that will fit my frame. Where is your guy?
I used Doug @ American Supercars to do the ceramic coating.
I may be interested in the windows & gaskets. I am going to refurbish my hardtop, but haven't even started thinking about what i may need.
Hope to see you soon.

Received the wiring harness and programmed ECM from Speartech earlier than expected. Looks like they did a really nice job building it. I have a pretty big pile of parts. Now i need something to install them on. Should be getting the body and frame back next week.

Thank you. Funny you say that, because it's something i've been thinking about. The pictures look interesting in all black. I have two black vehicles already and I think I'll end up with Ochre/White. I always wanted a red one, but we just painted my sons 86 K-5 red. It's gonna be black for a while till I save up the $ for paint.

Nice. I like the looks of the red square body in the background also.

Don't know if I care for the Ford towing it though !!

I knew I should have photoshopped the Ford out of there  The red one is an 86 that my son and I bought together when he was 12. We did a frame off on it. He turned 16 in April and has been driving the heck out of it.

That thing looks awesome. I bet your son loves it.

Those types of projects are the best. Some of my fondest memories with my Dad were wrenching on some summer vehicle under the car port.

Thank you! I'm pretty excited at this stage. There are ups and downs during the process, I'm going to try to enjoy the ups more this go around.

Re: 72 Jimmy "Colonel Mustard"

Bolted some parts on finally. Got the axles under it, the steering box, pitman arm, trans and t-case crossmembers, shocks and a few other things. Slow progress but its rolling again. Should have the engine crossmember back next week so I can start setting the drivetrain in. I've been struggling to make a decision on the fuel tank situation, I really want to use a factory style tank with an internal fuel pump. I think I have something worked out, should know tomorrow.
