If you check out my build thread you can maybe get some ideas from what I did. Mine is the same build as yours (Porterbuilt front and rear).

I got some fenders that I am going to make work. They are about 3 inches higher than the factory ones. I may try and use the bottom of the factory fenders combined with these and bring them up as far as I can to the brace under the window, and then I will just have to make up some kind of cover for the notch and bridge.

My tires went all of the way up and actually touched the brace under the window. I'm not sure what size wheels/tires you're going to run but just something to think about. Good work by the way!!

Yea, I think using these fenders mated up with the factory ones will make it tall enough. What size tires are you running in the back?

But after seeing this, I think this may be it.

Well, my wife likes the first one so I guess that is the winner. Think I will run the blue up to the bottom of the windows though.

Re: 72 Dropmember Suburban

What about blue up to the body line then white the rest of the way?

:agree: I like the first one if the blue is under the drip rail and not around all the windows. But any way you paint it you know it will be sweet!:metal:

Thanks! If you decide to go with the truck upper trim let me know, I will put you in contact with someone at Mar-K. The rack came on the burb when I got it. It was a dealer add on. You can find them out there if you look around.

Are u talking about the trim just below the windows or the center trim like the trucks?

The trim like the trucks had.

Hart_Rod 07-23-2012 06:43 PM

Re: 72 Dropmember Suburban

Front doors forward are the same as the truck. Call Mar-K and ask for James. Tell him what you're doing and remind him of my suburban. He should have the other 3 pieces of trim.

Re: 72 Dropmember Suburban

I ordered some of the U-POL Raptor bed liner. I ordered the clear so I can mix the paint in with it so it will be the same color blue as the truck. Im going to try it out on the floor where the carpet goes. If I dont like it, it wont matter because it will be under carpet. If I do like the way it looks , I think I am going to do the cargo area with it.
