Just figured out how to respond to posts now sorry for not knowing how to respond sooner lol

Thanks buddy, I love your truck too! was my truck when I was younger and has been sitting in as collecting black widows and dust. I found a few black widows and pulled the entire truck apart. This where it stands now I have a bunch of more tear down pics. Up to this point.. It's kind of funny u ask. I really like ur rear setup and am using it as a model to go by.... Hope u don't mind. Do u have any problems with the trailing arms twisting at all? Up front cup the lowers and bag plates up top. Wish I had the balls to section my crossmember or z the frame but for now low budget build and will save for the pb dropmember once everything else is where it needs to be.

Was killing time waiting for a roof I was painting to flash off to clear so I etch primed my brackets so they wouldn't rust on me

Re: project bagged 63 c10

I feel like i haven't really gotten anything accomplished lately. Just a couple of small updates. Drilled the holes for front upper bag plates. Finally removed the rear upper shock cross brace and angled cross brace behind rear end to prepare for my step notch. Def lots of rivets....I'm sure you all feel my pain too, glad that part is done though haha

Flipped the frame back over and put all the suspension back on to setup for mock up. And made some templates to cut out tomorrow for my rear bag brackets.

Decided I had too many parts floating around so I threw the front bags in to check it out....not so thrilled not sitting nearly where I was hoping but that's ok. about to make some good progress in the next couple of weeks!

Next on my list...
install my step notch
Cup my lowers
And pancake my front crossmember

sry for the late reply.. glad i could inspire!! as far as the trailing arms it doesnt seem like they are twisting at all.. as far as the front i wish i would have sectioned the crossmember but it gets low enough for now
are u gonna cup the control arms? or just gonna leave them alone till u get a dropmember?

No problem man. I'm sure it takes a while to respond to all or the threads ur on lol.
Good I'm glad to hear that, because I already started making plates for my frame for the upper bag mounts and new lower bag mounts... Made some 3 inch lowering blocks today on my morning break...:)
Trying to get my back set up done notch the front for steering and make my shock mounts so I can blast and paint my frame already.
I'm going to cup the lowers and I think I have convinced myself to section my crossmember as well....might as well already have come this far... No turning back now. I'm trying to do as much as I can before ordering drop spindles because I don't have a second set of wheels yet and plan to change to 5 lug

Thanks Dino! means alot to actually have all of the superstars notice my project. Takes me a little longer than you guys, do to limited tools, time, and space. I've been watching ur build threads for a while. You def have a nice fleet. I think the dually is my favorite. You need to post a recent picture of your fleet actually! You had mentioned mounting the front bags in the upper spring pocket.... I'd like to see more on that!

Small progress update. I'm not a master welder or anything so be easy on me lol. Got my notches and rear filler plates for upper bag mounts all tacked in place to make sure everything is level and as square as I could make it.

http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q...1B16039032.jpgWent out and started my car yesterday and this was the temp. Freezing b@lls out here on the east coast....don't none how you handle it in Alaska McMurphy. I figure if guys can make progress in this cold weather than I needed to man up and get some work done,so I did....
Managed to get my step notches all welded up inside and out... sorry my welds arent as pretty as some of you out there but they are solid so ill just take pictures of the aftermath. ready to make my cuts and box em in and see how low this baby is gonna go :) then its time to mount my rear bag brackets and do some bracing for those and my notches. after grinding welds for an hour decided to work on something else....started cutting my lowers for the cups...what a difference on how much lower it will sit. With bag brackets and cup kit it looked almost 4x4 and wasn't feeling it this is more like it!

Well.... It has snowed on and off here this week, and now just in time for the weekend, it is supposed to drop to -50 by Sunday.
Heck, right now it is -30 out there as I write this.

One thing I have learned about this truck site, is that you cannot underestimate the level of influence these guys can have on you. I know there are many here that motivate me tremendously!!

Glad you got the gumption up and got some stuff done!
I know you are happy with that !! :metal:
