I love driving in it. I think one big difference is between snow in the slow paced country and snow in hustle bustle city. It just makes things pretty and inside more cozy by the woodstove.

This is the most snow my trucks ever seen here in SC back in January 2008. However, we had a BAD storm in January 2011 where we got about 18" of snow. Doesn't sound like much of anything, but without enough equipment and salt only the interstates and major roads were cleared. It then turned to ice. It was about 10 days of driving hell My truck stayed garaged. I had to take my wife to work in my 4x4 because it was the only thing that could make it up the hill out of our driveway:

However, when I've gone back to NY... I've seen a lot of it... that's my 2000 Z71 in the background.

Re: Pics of your truck in the snow

I'm only 20, so this story from the late 90s seems like a long time ago. It was blizzarding and my parents little sister and I were driving home from town in our brown 1979 GMC 4 wheel drive. We made it to our 1/4 mile long driveway to find it snowed in. I can't remember how many runs dad took at the driveway but we never made it more than a quarter of the way down it. So we left the truck at the main road and walked to the house. The next morning I had to walk back through all the snow to catch the school bus. I was upset because we didn't get a snow day and we obviously had enough to justify one lol. I'm now wishing dad didn't get rid of that truck. I can still hear the tranny whine.

Edit: I'm with Tim. I love the snow. I feel bad for you guys from down south. :P

I have to agree, I love a good drive out in the country in the snow.

This was the first snow of the season here back in October

It's just so peaceful when you don't have to deal with other drivers who don't belong on the roads.
http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f4..._media_261.jpg

And just because... This isn't even snow, but the hail storm we had this past March, there were "hail drifts" over 3ft deep in some areas, it ranged from dime to tennis ball sized hail.

Here's mine. Just snowed a whole load on Wednesday. Lots of fun "fish-tailing".

Just got new bigger tires on the back.

I thought I had a few pictures of mine in the snow, but I can't really find them just now. We do get a little bit. That fence is 6' tall:

I do have this, from last week getting home from the junkyard:

I wish I didn't have any experience driving in the snow.

Not sure what the temp was here, but it was sunny and at least 45. No reason for salt on the roads yet,so I saw a sweet Super Bee drive by my house(both ways),a few Harleys, and a Model A all decked out with Christmas decorations on the road today. That may change soon and already has up home in the mountains. They got a foot yesterday and more tomorrow (we get rain). I have to drive up in it. They git 3' from Superstorm Sandy late October!

It's good to see I'm not the only member in ND outside of Fargo lol. My pics were with my cell phone as well since my real camera died after one picture. We had frost up here for 3-4 days. I lucked out and got pictures the day before it all fell off.

We moved to Southeast Missouri in the summer of 1996 and have had plenty of chances to drive in the snow. It can be challenging at times, but fun. Since we moved here we have had snow, floods and ice storms.

Quite a few years ago we had an ice store that caused our power to be out for 9 days, that was a real experience.

These old trucks holds their own on snowy and icy roads.

This pictures are some of the best yet! Well,I got my wish yesterday. It was supposed to rain, but start out s sleet mid-morning,due to being below freezing shortly, then warm enough to rain. Well, that didn't happen. Nothing happened all morning,it never warmed up as much as they said, and in the early afternoon it started straight-up snowing and didn't stop till we have 3-4". Rod guys were off for the holiday or just because the day after Christmas is supposed to maybe bring snow. The roads were not prepped at all and once it started sticking to the road it got real slick. I made it home, finally, and had just fed the woodstove when my daughter called from just off the state hwy needing a rescue. You could drive 100 miles just fine, but when you drop into my valley it's another story. It's big hills down to get in and big hills up to get out,any way you go.Then,we are the last to see a plow. She had started down the hill and realized she would end up sliding all the way down the hill in here Beetle conv. There were cars all over the place, ahead of her, behind, and on the uphill side. It's a 5spd and I tried to take it down a bit to a driveway. That went pretty well,so I got it down the hill and walked back up to my truck. What a mess!
So,here's my '72 in a short video:
