Got all but a couple pieces of trim painted yesterday (I am waiting on a new piece or 2) and turned out great! You cant beat SEM paint!
Got the kick panels in, carpet finished up, latch side of the seat belts in & then got the seat in... Attachment 1077547 Attachment 1077548 Attachment 1077549 Attachment 1077550 Attachment 1077551 |

Re: 1 Owner 1976 SWB
Nice work on the truck Justin. You are making a truck that was already a 10 into a 12. I feel bad for all the people here that only get to see the truck in pictures, because trust me it looks 10 times better in person! I can't wait to go for a ride. Between you and Ryan I need to get some square body seat time since mine is all tore down. Keep up the good work and timeless choices you are making.

I didnt get the final trim piece in this week so I couldnt finish up the the trim & headliner... but I did get a couple very small things done.
I got the steering wheel on... Attachment 1082049 And changed the clear front marker lights to amber lenses. It makes them blend in & become less noticable... Attachment 1082050 Attachment 1082051 |

Also I took a look at the stock center caps & trim rings & they need some attention but I think i can make them work...
I'd love for all this stuff to work since they are original. Heres a cap after some polishing but still not done... Attachment 1082052 I just hit one spot on a trim ring to see how they would come out... I think I can make them work too... Attachment 1082053 |
Re: 1 Owner 1976 SWB
I like the amber lenses much better. What are you polishing the center caps and rings with?

Those caps and rings are going to look great. I agree, the amber lens looks much better.

Are those original center caps for the truck?
I've seen them before and always wondered what the application was. (I thought they were caprice center caps) This is the style that is more common,... |

I did some research & I read that the 73-76 trucks had a bolt from behind metal center cap & are pretty rare. |

Truck looks great! Have you seen my build/intro thread (linked below)? I did something very similar, interior wise, to what you are doing. K |

Honestly I'd like to sell the 72 & run around in the 76 for this season but I havent advertised it or anything because of a work project has me working every other weekend til end of April... then I'll be free on the weekends again  Let me know if there are any other good shows up that direction that I should consider. |
Re: 1 Owner 1976 SWB
I think the truck show will be a go for 2013 but you should contact is2blu on the board. Gaileen will be able to give you the specifics. Or check out www.alltrucknats.com
The first week of May is the Magic Dragon Street Meet in Lake Ozark, MO. This year they are capping the entrants to 1,100 as they are running out of room. It's a decent show. Gearys5600 came up last year with some of his crew. I "think" he's planning on coming back. You can search for Magic Dragon on Google and it will bring it up. |
Re: 1 Owner 1976 SWB
Thanks...I will keep an eye out for both those shows.
That Magic Dragon show looks like a good & big show. |
Re: 1 Owner 1976 SWB
Street Machine Nationals is a great show, nice venue. Keep it on your radar and let me know if you'll be up this way! http://www.streetmachinenationals.net/event/254
