stalled until now... cab is off going out for blast & epoxy prime hopefully tomorrow ill get the glass out then get it on the Trailor

Sure all the sheet metal is being blasted and epoxy primed inside and out 2500. I got a quote from another company cab only in and out 1k

thank you, I assume they don't do any rust repair just cover the metal for you to prevent it from rusting after media blasting, correct? then it is up to you to sand or wire wheel any troubled spots and weld in your patches

yes sir off to body shop after blast looks like that work will be minimal so im opted to pay and have a PROFESSIONAL complete that task my days of body work and truck painting are over ... painting small parts hinges etc. ill do .... and Powder coat parts that fit in my oven ...fun stuff

finished test fitting the bed panels most all lined up ...bedsides KeyParts headboard and tail gate and rear crossmember are Tri plus fenders the only OEM they were 40 year old takeoffs ...so disassembled and loaded into my 67 year old grocery getter and off to body shop for prep and paint

been too hot here ....gave in and sent this off to blast yesterday no pitting or scaling just surface rust I got tired of grinder wheeling in 95 + heat and humidity

back from Blaster.....he E primed did a test spot with Chassis Satin Black my OCD kicked in and Im scuffing with 400( 0n cooler days/nights :waah:) to get ready for paint

I been spraying one side at a time to control over spray I been baking it in my solar oven:)...tomorrow ill finish painting cross members last pic is after the blast and epoxy prime

better weather better progress motor on frame for weight drop spindles & springs are in they been sitting on the shelf since 2016 or we would have bit the bullet on coil over :devil:

I ran into a road block :) my engine mounts motor stands that I was so pleased with will not work to far forward they will be on th FS board ...shame on me

thanks for kind words ...I purchased them preformed ( the call it ) prebent from Inline Tube ...they are stainless Im told they are very hard to bend and I know my limitations

mid 70s here yesterday put him on all 4s pushed out to power wash the filth off the floor since all dirty work is complete.... job will get in the way..... traveling this week

getting closer to this frame and suspension drive train portion to completion.... since last post I replaced the PS with new one got all my pulleys lined up new fan on, P coated them along with brackets and flywheel dust cover installed , rebuilt and lined up the Z bar with new linkage made a braided fuel line fuel tank installed and plumbed up to carb Im down to a punch list of about a dozen items:devil:

motor is running cab is back from body shop going to figure out the sequence for putting all the guts back in ...I think vent doors first then park brake then clutch and brake pedal ...wait may be put the harness and gauge cluster while none of that bake stuff is in the way and oh yah the wiper motor defrost hoses etc. ....and so it goes...

Glad I checked back in! You've come a long way bud! Your work is spectacular for sure. Is it me or is the forum nearly dead? I would have expected several guys respond to all the work you have accomplished.

thanks for checking back in and the nice compliments ..its been fun and a challenge Im going to have some extra new/ installed /slightly used won't fit my application parts :waah: when Im done ill document after I fix and why but for the most part things have gone well .....as far as the nearly dead I think its been so long that I dabble in and out interests and people change ....I think of the build thread as a place to archive and document but its always nice to get a ADAH -BOY I probably look at all the build threads I have subd to and don't respond enough ...well maybe... thanks again im going to try and drive this one by late spring...cause I aint gettin any younger and I have another lady in waiting

I converted my cluster to Tach & Clock original gauges were in good shape the kit came from Brothers and I bought a new bezel I should put the spare used parts on the FS forum

no real progress my job is getting in the way ......): dash pad done seats back from my guy next week ...its a light saddle picture doesn't do it any justice
