The drivers side door in cleaned up and mounted. Still have to do the sheet metal work on the doors. The hinge adjuster plates on the door are frozen and need some persuasion. Some sheet metal work to be done, it's in really great shape for its age.

Removed the dents, welded a couple of holes closed and removed the rust on the inside door panel. The whole truck, inside and out, will be white and Neptune green. White top and green from the window line down. White along the recessed line on the interior and the rest will be Neptune green with grey upholstery. Working towards installing the drive line, sealing off the cab, addressing the rust and getting the truck on the road. Paint may have to wait.

First blood hahaha, mashed her with the 4lb sledge. Does anyone know a good trick for getting out stubborn body mount bolts? The long lag bolts are seized in the steel collars in the rubber mounts .

Re: 1963 GMC C30 panel truck
Ouch! That looks painful. Do you have access to a torch to warm the body bolts? Heat usually helps.

Refurbished the steering wheel. Wouldn't mine hitting it with some more paint. Anyone have some good suggestions what to finish it with?

Re: 1963 GMC C30 panel truck
Good couple coats of clear would shine that right up.

Found a 60/40 bench seat this weekend. It will work perfect for the front seat. Will be able to get to the back seat with one lever. Pulled it out of a 94 Chevy with the extended cab. Got it all cleaned up, it is in great shape. I will be mocking it up next weekend.

Drivers seat is in! The steering wheel is not done yet, still needs a few coats of paint. These seats fit in the panel perfectly, no modifications required. Now onto the passengers side

Passenger seat is mounted. Would have been better if I mounted them more forward. O well, just a bit tight for those getting into the back :waah:

Re: 1963 GMC C30 panel truck
Still on the road for my two week hunting trip. Got three deer between my brother in law and I. The best part was I spotted a 63 suburban and a 65 suburban parked out in this guys farm yard. lucky for me the guy was there, as I was passing through, he set me up with a bunch of critical parts that I am missing/ or that are heavily damaged. Rear crossmember and sil plate with barn door stricker plates, fuel door, driver side tail light housing, all the cover plates for the barn doors, all the rear barn door latches and a mint crome bumper with all the brackets. Soo pumped. Currently it's all jammed in the back of my 77' security camper with three deer and all our camping and hunting gear.... So pictures to come hahaha :metal:

And the drivers side tail light lens and housing. Got the lot for $160. Got some parts and some new tools. A 1500lb engine stand for the Cummins, a new 12.5v grinder, some butt weld clamps, spot weld cutters and some sand blasting media.

Got out to the shop last night. Spent some time working on the rear sil and cross member. Welded the ends of the cross member back on, filled the hole for the trailer plug and hammered out the dents. Then I started to sand blast the rough looking areas around the cross member. Noticed some pin holes and areas I will have to patch up.

Spent most of yesterday replacing the spider injector in my wife's 97 GMC, and trying to figure out why my odometer and tripometer aren't working in my dodge. Had it all a part, not able to figure that one out yet. Glad I got some time on the panel though!
