Buddy of mine has an original 2wd ‘70. Don’t know his VIN but I did look it up. It’s factory 2wd. It’s still alive and kickin’ in NC

It isn't a factory 2wd - it is a 4wd converted by the previous owner. I have been working on it when my schedule allows which hasn't been much since I got it. I have a host of little things to take care of on it. I should really start a project build thread.

Here is a sneak peak of the light wet sanding I did to remove the top coat of black paint I did to get back to factory 70 Dark Blue. I have since found a factory matching paint cowl and swapped it on so it is all one color now.

Nice little project! :metal:

So many questions! hahaha! I'd love to know the specs on your wheels and tires, and what the details are on the interior/seats? Thanks!!

birkinsb 02-07-2019 01:25 AM

Re: 1970 original 2wd blazer/Jimmys still Alive

The wheels are US MAGS U111 20x8 and 20X9.5 with 255/45 and 295/40 tires.
I do have the nolimit front IFS coil over kit adjusted all the way down as low as I can without cutting inner fenders. The interior is a full TMI kit that includes doors, front and rear seats, dash pad and rear bed and tailgate panels. Getting close to finishing just need to run brake lines, radiator, driveshaft and finish wiring.
