First thank you. The owner of the truck wanted to use screws with black caps to hold the panel in place. Not how I wanted to do it, but he's the boss. Said he wanted to take it off himself if needed.

I would cut the holes first to fit everything and make sure they work. You could always make the hole larger for clearance, but a small cut in material would allow the crank to come thru...Jim

Ok, thank you for that. So, then I'm curious as to how you would hang them on your truck, if you don't mind sharing.

Rick, don't mind at all. This is a door panel I did 4 yrs ago, it's the way I do most of my door panels. This is the link http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=662380 go to post 19 and 20, it shows how I do them. If more questions just ask away...Jim

Wow, that is awesome. You are making me want to try and do that for my truck. Also, I did not know Reaper was your son. No wonder he has as much talent as he does. He's fortunate to have a dad to have shown/exposed his to this kind of stuff. I wish I would have had that. Thank you for your time!

Rick, thank you for the high praise. That's what this forum is all about, to help and encourage other to try new things. Mark (reaper) talents came thru him, I just gave him the basics, and helped guide. Cars, trucks have been a big part of my life, since I was 13 yrs old, he was around it all his life, never tried to force him in that direction, he just wanted to learn.

Any help I can offer on anything, just ask...Jim

Jim, I asked Mark to post a picture of the fender rack you built when he gets time. You wouldn't still have the plans laying around would you? Building one out of wood would pretty easy, and it looks pretty sturdy.

Robert, never had any plans, just built them to the fenders. I will get some pics together with measurements and post them up. Give me a few days...Jim
