So you basically only need the inner metal overlay like I have boxed here, or do you need the entire thickness of it all the way to the outside roof?
DO you need any of the horizontal cover above the doors? . |

Basically, that is all I need Richard. I do not need any of the pieces above the door. I already have my whole inner roof mocked up other than finishing it out and these pieces. If you can cut out both of those for me as I need two for each side. Maybe 3" inches below the door weatherstrip channel intersection but above the shoulder harness hole. Thanks Trevor

Re: Suburban metal cuts
Looking for drivers side rear frame section from axle crossmember to bumper. I need it for a Blazer. If you have one from Suburban hoping it might work.

The tail end of the suburban is different from the 72' Blazers. Here are a couple pictures to show the difference. If your Blazer is 69-71 the frame just cuts off flat at the rear but I do not have one here to verify if they are indeed swapable.
1st picture shows suburban tail end Attachment 1960934 2nd pic shows how the blazer turns down a lot sharper. This frame is not for sale. You might check with 1Rippen6 he usually has some blazer stuff Attachment 1960935 |
Re: Suburban metal cuts
Thanks. With the turn down on Blazer not sure I could make the Suburban piece work.

I see you said you don't have any good lower metal, what about the driver's rear wheel well? I need a small section at the front, 4" up and 3" toward the rear to include the corner.
Attachment 1973201 I can take a better picture with tape on the wheel well if it would communicate better. This is the area I'm trying to patch. Attachment 1973203 |

Re: Suburban metal cuts
Richard,
Do you have the last foot of a 1972 4x4 leaf spring rear frame? (both sides) Prior owner cut off the rear bumper mounting tabs for a custom bumper. Please PM me a cost to 92024. Thanks! Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Suburban metal cuts
Richard,
#3 body mount brackets are the same for 2wd and 4wd. #4 are different because they're bracketed in/around front leaf shackle mount for leaf spring trucks. I'll take #3 frame brackets; both left and right. Shipping to 72207 please Mike |
Re: Suburban metal cuts
M7vasque,
I'm pretty sure that last foot is the same whether leaf or coil. More than about 20-22" forward is a little different, but only in the rear leaf shackle bracket area. Going thru this myself right now, and got end cuts from Richard 2 trs ago. PO of the 4WD chassis I have hacked and molded it to fit a LWB truck |

It has been real wet here but I did find a box of brackets already pulled here in the shop. Is the pair of brackets shown here what you need? or is it the smaller single bracket you are looking for (would need to check outside for the matching side) The pair shown would be $75 shipped and they are very nice. I would need to see If I have a good 2nd bracket for the smaller if that is what you needed. . |

yes, the 2 brackets on the right are the ones I need for position #3. The one on the far left might work; it looks different than whats on mine right now. Will have to look in the morning and check. Do you have another #3 bracket in better shape than the one on the right? The center one looks awesome; do you have another in that shape? thanks |

Mike
These are the best ones I have. The one on the outside is mostly surface rust but there are a few pits where the top turns to the side. I don't think it would be any problem at all structurally. There is no pitting in the body mount hole but it appears like the mount was worn out and the bolt was rubbing the edge of it. Both of them came from the same frame. Here are a few closer pictures as well. Richard . |
Re: Suburban metal cuts
OK, those look good; I'll take them. Also the bracket for position #4 should work if you have both sides.
How about $100 shipped for all 4 pieces? |
