Since I’m paying for labor I couldn’t see paying money to clean up old parts and doing some of the work twice so I ended up just going for broke. I am happy with the way the parts are fitting and things are coming together. We’ve only run into a couple of small issues and we are working them out now. Hoping to hear it run sometime this month. It should be able to move and stop under its own power at that time?

Many people don't understand this. Paying a labor rate for the actual time it takes to clean old/existing parts & then rebuild can cost you almost as much as simply purchasing new upgraded/updated items.

For your situation, that was a WISE choice.

Nice stuff for the chassis. I see you went w/the QA1 front arms/suspension & rear set-up. RedHead steering box. The TinWorks LS swap items & x-members. Holley Mid-Mount accessory set-up.

Not quite a year later & very nice foundation.

Yes sir, just checked the invoice. I was looking for 255 but I guess they weren't available in the cheap tires I bought.

Some latest pictures

Not me driving but this is my rough ride height!

From the rear. I have an NOS tailgate to replace the louvered one. Unless I can remove the skin they welded on?

Looks nice on the bottom?

Not 100% happy with the exhaust! With the QA1 panhard bars the drivers side has to go lower than I wanted? For now I just want to get it into body work prison in a couple of weeks for about a year!

I am happy with the ride height. I hope I'll be happy with the ride quality!

There has been progress but not quite as fast as I wanted. I have been trying to get a garage built for over a year and didn't want to have this finished with no indoor storage. I may change plans and am leaving to look at property in TN near some friends.

Here are the inner bedsides with the small arch reworked for more tire clearance. The wheel tubs were also widened 1.5" to accommodate wider tires at a later date, once I have melted these!

I have friends in Mount Joliet that moved there 10+ years ago. I would like to be near them but have been unable to find exactly what I am looking for. 3+ bedrooms, 2+ baths, 2+ car garage preferably 3+, and most importantly I don't want to see any neighbors from my windows. I will be down in a week to visit and look at a few properties. One is in Smithville about an hour away on 4 acres, another is in Centerville about 90 minutes away on 9 acres. I would like to be closer but? Are you anywhere near those locations? Any input or suggestions.

If I can't find what I am looking for this year I might look in Florida near Inverness.

Re: Looking for build name?

This is the back of the rear seat that I cut 3" out of the width. That is why 2 of the vertical supports are so close. I had to deal with the hog ring attachment points also which became a pain. The seat bottom was a lot more work and I forgot to take pictures. I had to cut them down to fit between the widened wheel tubs.

I am in Lebanon that's real close to your friends in Mt Juliet.

If I had my choice, I would pick Smithville over Centerville.

Smithville will have more auto parts places and grocery stores.

Centerville is more Rural thou and that might be what you are looking for.

Several months ago, I went to Bon Aqua for some lawnmower parts.
Thats about 25 miles from Centerville.

I was surprised to see they still have gravel roads down there.

They have already paved over all the ones around here.;)

Maybe we can meet up while I am there? I'll PM you my contact info if you would like. I have been looking in Lebanon also, so far nothing has met the criteria.
