Thanks, It has 4 inch drop spindles up front. Rear axle has been flipped and frame C notched.

77 Big 10, are those 18" polished IROC's? Looks cool on a pickup. What size tires?

thanks
there 33x12.50x15's
they rub just a little while turning over a bump. I think I'm going to do a 2 inch lift or 4 inch lift.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II

Looks like it lifted a bit already, 2" is prob enough but with a 4" will have lots of clearance if used much off road.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II

I started with 33"s, then I lifted it and they looked dinky. So I went to 37"s, but then I did a body lift, and they looked dinky again. Long story short, I ended up on 40"s, at $2500,00 every time I needed new tires. My advice is 2"

I'll end up doing 2 inches I think. I want to get new leaf springs and do all the bushings and rebuild the front end in the process. slowly going through the whole truck.

You'll regret it, there isn't a week that goes by that I don't regret selling my grey one

Speaking of regretting something, I'm considering selling my red one

I was considering writing a post and asking opinions on what it should go for. Bought it bone stock other than the previous 65 year old owner had a GM dealer install a new vortec 305 (it's a 87 so TBI). Maybe has 35k on it now (I'd have to check paperwork) Not long after I purchased it the original trans started slipping,I had the 700r4 completely rebuilt. That has approx 15k on it. Recently lowered correctly. Truck has original paint, not perfect but as you see it shines up well, cold AC,cruise. I added the k5 rear bumper and a nice radio. Has dual tanks but right one doesn't work, haven't investigated it. Drivers side seat is tore and may be ordering a new one if I don't sell it soon. Carpet is faded but factory and not stained. I drove it to orlando Florida from north alabama in April without a hitch and averaged 19.6mpg.

Nice, how hard would it be to put back to factory suspension height?

I kept the stock front springs. It would need spindles, shocks in front and rear the flip kit removed as well as remove shackles and shocks....but why would you do a thing like that? Lol

because I prefer the stock look, not low rider stance that kills the look imo

It actually rides better than before I lowered it for anyone wondering. It surprised the heck out of me....And handles amazingly. (I'm 42, so not out carving corners, but I steered around a dog the other day like it was on rails) If anyone has an opinion of what it should go for let me know, thanks in advance. And now back to our regularly scheduled program lol

I kinda like it just how it is. 3" spindles and a flip kit in the rear? What size tires? Any rubs?
