Re: Bench Seats, Having them Reupholstered
Is a crew cab rear bench the same as the front - difference being one is on a sliding track the other is fixed mount? Do the mounts and tracks interchange between seat bases?

Actually GMC Seats are slightly different. They have that little extra chrome piece, were the seat hinge is. Here are two pics of 73-80 seats. 1st pic is a Chevy 2nd pic is a GMC |

Re: Bench Seats, Having them Reupholstered
I know it's not really related to your work but I'm wondering if you can provide some input? I was going to order a seat cover and sun visors from USA1 to match the tan seatbelts I got from SeatBeltStore.com but they want $238 dollars for shipping. What's my next best bet? Do you recommend the 38-2293-TN from LMC? Or should I look at a different supplier? It's for a mid-80's tilt seat.

A long time ago, I started off using covers made by ACME. These are supplied to LMC, Classic Industries and a few other online vendors. I didn’t take very long to realize these covers are not well made, and they would either be too big, which would leave lots of wrinkles. Or too small, then they would rip. |

Thanks for the input from both of you. I'm still considering rolling the dice with LMC but I'll give it some more thought. |

Re: Bench Seats, Having them Reupholstered
how do you prep your plastic pieces for dying. It seems when I spay a piece it will scape off the next day with your finger nails. I think I am putting it on with thin coats maybe I have to go thinner. any thoughts/?
