Bought it bone stock other than the previous 65 year old owner had a GM dealer install a new vortec 305 (it's a 87 so TBI). Maybe has 35k on it now (I'd have to check paperwork) Not long after I purchased it the original trans started slipping,I had the 700r4 completely rebuilt. That has approx 15k on it. Recently lowered correctly. Truck has original paint, not perfect but as you see it shines up well, cold AC,cruise. I added the k5 rear bumper and a nice radio. Has dual tanks but right one doesn't work, haven't investigated it. Drivers side seat is tore and may be ordering a new one if I don't sell it soon. Carpet is faded but factory and not stained. I drove it to orlando Florida from north alabama in April without a hitch and averaged 19.6mpg.

Same here, the 78 looks pretty nice, truck and wheels. Nice stance too.

Side shot. Stock height etc. Currently working on my exhaust - 2 1/4" dual kit from dynomax, thrush welded mufflers, and ported manifolds from a '93. Also freshening up another set of rally wheels with mud/snow tires for the winter.

Thank you :) The tires are 255 70 R15 all around. Very happy with them thus far; had them mounted early summer.

Good to hear. I've been on the fence about what to get for tires. Really like they way yours looks, like a truck, but a sporty truck.

Actually it came with the truck, so I'm not sure exactly; however, it does have a similar appearance to the ones in the LMC catalogue.

Ok..they don't offer a burgundy, just red. I've seen where people have bought them and dyed them but not interested in that. I found one on the Brothers site, gonna give it a try.

Here are pics of my 18 yr old son's 1987 that we just brought home after looking for a few months. Tires are the first item on the list, as these were loaners to get it home. The PO had too small of wheels and tires, so we opted for him to keep them.

I guess I've decided to keep mine, ran across these today and had to pic them up us mags 20x9.5 rear 20x8 front... I'll go with a larger rear tire when these are bad. 275/40 as of now.

I think the rally wheels look better in my opinion. Still a sharp pickup either way.

Looks good! Maybe a spacer in the rear to push it out also. Any side view pics?
