Let me know to, maybe we can find more burb guys in the SoCal area to do a get together.

I am trying to get my burb done for the next Temecula car show in old town, it would be cool if we got as many burbs together as possible and did a show of force there at the show! Next one is March 12th and 13th.

Sounds good to me. We should be settled in and ready for a show by then.

Here's my 1970 Chevrolet Suburban Ambulance from National Custom Coaches. It was originally given to the city of Beresford, SD by the governor of the state Frank Farrar.
I have been thinking about turning it into a 4-wheel drive. Anyone happen to know what years Suburban frames go underneath of this? I was told by a friend last night that he has an '87 and the frame is the same and he has an extra!?!?!?!

the frames are definitely different, the only frames that will bolt right under it without mods are the 67-72 suburban frames

The 1st pic is what it looked like before I got the suspension redone. Now the body is off with a total rebuild in store. Next is a pic of the completed frame.

Hey guys, thought I would introduce myself with a pic of my new project. I had a 71 Chevy SWB 4x4 that I got rid of a few years ago but I couldn't be without an old truck for long.

I traded a Jeep for this 71 GMC a couple months back and have been working on it steadily since. I've learned alot from the site already and will probably be putting some of the interior up for sale here soon.

Thanks for the welcome. Right now I'm just replacing panels that were either rusted or dented beyond repair. So far that's been both tail light surrounds, and the driver side rear wheel well.

It's a pretty original truck with the motor just being rebuilt a few years ago. The guy I bought it from packed the whole truck with extra parts (all the stuff in the picture). I've got 4 bench seats, everything to add front air (it's got rear air now) and lots of little parts.

I bought a set of 4 leather seats for it and plan on doing the interior next and just driving it for a while. I've got a 5.3 that'll eventually go in it.
