If you have your PayPal settings turned on, you will receive an automatic shipped notice along with the tracking number. I should be able to ship your D52 brackets tomorrow.

You wouldn't happen to have any pics of someone using this kit with a porterbuilt rear 4 link would you? I'm wanting to get a set of brackets but think I'm gonna have issues with the panhard bar bracket interfering with the caliper with my differential being narrowed 8.50 inches

Re: D52 Caliper Rear Disc Brake Brackets

Sorry but no I do not. No one sends me pictures. All there are, are what you see in this thread.

What about moving the caliper to the front of the differential?

No worries. I can modify the bracket if push comes to shove. I could do that more than likely but the bars aren't much further inboard than the panhard bar bracket

The inside surface of the caliper bracket will be 1-5/8" inside from the outside of the backing plate flange.

Ok thanks! Will do some measuring next time I'm out and I'll let you know. I think the brackets will fit but I'm. Pre worried about the calipers. I guess it all depends on how they will be clocked. I looked at the pics in the thread but it's hard to tell.

Got my "CaptainFab" brackets for my 69' stepside the other day. Machine work was excellent. I did not have any issues with fitment, everything lined up and went together perfect. Only issue I had was the pads were a little thick for the new rotors, I sanded the pads a little and caliper dropped in place then. Here is a couple of picks.....I put a coat of "POR" on the brackets....

Photobucket!!!!! Don't know what happened. anyway kit was great, Good Job Captain. Also, about the same time we had a 1963 c/10 at my repair shop for boost/mc add-on. We needed the bracket that mounts this set-up to the firewall. "CaptainFab" to the rescue once again. Bracket showed up couple days later and worked perfect......Casey

Captainfab: I've got the d52 kit on my 72 c10. My issue is the outer brake pads are dragging the circumference of the rotor on the horizontal surface (hub?? Between the rotor face and the wheel.). Is there a certain set of brake pads you reccomend? Or did I install something wrong?

How long ago did you purchase the D52 brackets? That issue arose quite some time ago, but I made a change to the caliper bracket to correct that.

Between December 2012 and March 2013.

Re: D52 Caliper Rear Disc Brake Brackets

I will confirm the date of the latest revision tomorrow, but I believe your brackets were before that. The interference issue is due to manufacturing tolerance differences in the aftermarket replacement rotors. Did you purchase the brackets in bare steel or satin black powder coat?

Bare steel, they were assembled on the truck then painted with the rest of the frame. I am running Napa rotors, is there a preferable brand that doesnt cause the interference?

Re: D52 Caliper Rear Disc Brake Brackets

I do not know of any specific rotors that are any different than others and no customers have let me know of any.

My latest revision of the caliper brackets was in October of 2014. So you do not have the revised brackets. If you will send me your shipping info, I will send you a set of the newest caliper brackets.

I think I solved the problem: popped the calipers off and bent the upper "fingers" on the outer pads downward and it seems to have solved the issue thus far. It pulled the pad up of the rotor hat. And there's about a 1/16th -1/8th inch clearance now. If the issue persists I may take you up on that offer. Thanks again!

Re: D52 Caliper Rear Disc Brake Brackets

OK. Hopefully those pads will stay in place up off of the rotor hat. If not let me know.
