Re: Let's Build A 1 Ton Crew Cab 4x4
It most certainly does! & I am not sure on your application but designing one to use LS mounts as well. So no adapter brackets needed from dirty dingo or wherever.

Re: Let's Build A 1 Ton Crew Cab 4x4
Once you are done with the brackets for your SRW D60 any interest in making a set for a DRW version? I would be interested. The rotor wouldn't be free floating but I don't care. I'm just interested in the brake upgrade.

Re: Let's Build A 1 Ton Crew Cab 4x4
Heck if you want to get crazy and make brackets for some kind of D44 upgrade I'll take a set of those too.

Re: Let's Build A 1 Ton Crew Cab 4x4
Hey man! It can be done! Just need one of them DRW axles!! I'm not opposed to Dana 44!

Re: Let's Build A 1 Ton Crew Cab 4x4
Well then we are in luck! I happen to have both of those axles not more than 800 miles from you 😂

Re: Let's Build A 1 Ton Crew Cab 4x4
Excellent I will just take a week off work to try and round them up! I wish it was that easy anyway.
Some progress. Dropped axle to drill holes out for larger 7/16 hardware. Some modifications to my front axle perches are necessary to use the larger hdw so have to update my design. Wish I had the extra $ do drop on some 2" lift springs, I can already tell these 4" ones are going to be too high for me. http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...psbvpg04pk.jpg Painted on the NV4500.. http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...psn58oqkuy.jpg Finished the welds and last bit of parts for the plasma. We rolled her big ass outside, washed it and prepped it for paint. http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...psdxl36lyv.jpg Finally after getting the paint problem sorted, we got some primer on it. http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...pssf9arrza.jpg Should be ordering controls for it soon! Also my rear brake conversion brackets are due here this week! |
Re: Let's Build A 1 Ton Crew Cab 4x4
Painted black, all that's left is to paint the water table portion.
http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5czggi7o.jpg New design for the dana 60 brake brackets. http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...psmmxmh3gj.jpg Still waiting on my damn rear brake conversion brackets... :/ Show off my buddys unfinished design for ford dana 60 4 link swap.. For anyone whos interested. http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...pszlrptoso.jpg |
Re: Let's Build A 1 Ton Crew Cab 4x4
Man those brake brackets look good..
Just cut your own brackets for the rear. |
Re: Let's Build A 1 Ton Crew Cab 4x4
Can't cut my own rears... they are milled out of a .75" thick block of mild steel.
|
Re: Let's Build A 1 Ton Crew Cab 4x4
Im wanting to run new ford axles on my next build. may have to look into his kit if I don't build my own. Looks well thought out!

Re: Let's Build A 1 Ton Crew Cab 4x4
know if he plans to include the upper coil mounts?

Yes he will have upper coil mounts designed. He is also designing it to work with airbags. |
Re: Let's Build A 1 Ton Crew Cab 4x4
I am liking the front brake upgrades that you have done. I may have to get a set of those brackets off you at some point. I have way too many other things to get done before I can look at that though.

Re: Let's Build A 1 Ton Crew Cab 4x4
Next revision worked like a charm!

Would love to find it and get one. http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...psmsckqvsd.jpg Cleaned up the Tcase. http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...psjpt0lmps.jpg Painted pedals as well. http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...psc8cy376s.jpg Anyone know what size bolts it takes to mount tcase to the trans? I lost mine. Still need hardware to mount the ac box back on as well. No clue where that went. |
Re: Let's Build A 1 Ton Crew Cab 4x4
Nice work on the rear disc conversion.

Re: Let's Build A 1 Ton Crew Cab 4x4
Thank you! In a couple of weeks I will have the adapter for sale :)

Bolts: 3911926, which I think is just a 3/8-16 x 1" bolt of grade 8ish variety. |
Re: Let's Build A 1 Ton Crew Cab 4x4
Woo! Why are people charging so much for that cover! Looks like I will be making my own.
Thank you for the bolt size. I ended up using about 3/8-1.5" and now I know why that was a pain in the ass. 1" would have been so much easier, those 1.5" took forever to thread all the way in. Lesson learned. http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...pscq9egmaf.jpg Did some more tinkering with driveshaft lengths. Was able to swap one I had for a longer one at the junkyard but I overestimated and got one 2" too long so got to go back and swap for a bit shorter one. Just excited I was able to swap and save the $ I was going to spend on getting a shaft made. Seems I need one around 76", the 78" one is the exact length from the axle flange to the back of the tcase. http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...psbrbpap9u.jpg Also got the trim piece I have been needing for the bed for free!! Needs a little bit replaced on it b/c of rust but it fits perfectly!!! http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...pss0ifawjd.jpg Latest and greatest of the brade adapter arrived! http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...psrw3pijjy.jpg http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...ps0hyp8gci.jpg This spring has to be used, AC delco hardware kit, dorman one comes with a normal spring that rubs the hub. http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...pslnp7dyjg.jpg http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...psvaebzjaw.jpg http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...psym7rztap.jpg http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...psrnxdbha5.jpg http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...pscznzyzyi.jpg http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...pswnnfotrn.jpg http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5wiqbien.jpg http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...pscwtz6xau.jpg So since I noticed the rear axle was a bit forward b/c of my flip bracket I made. I ordered some EZ inch, new Ubolts and the Ubolt flip bracket. So I had to drop axle. Hopefully, I can get all that in soon and axle back under. http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5ua2bskx.jpg Also for reference this is the diameter of the oil cooler line piece for the 6.5. http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...psgnxr6n6b.jpg If all goes to plan I should be going to pick up an 02 2500HD 4x4 DirtyMax this week. It will be our CutBros. truck, at least it is a start. We have intent to design lift parts for it as well. |
Re: Let's Build A 1 Ton Crew Cab 4x4
So I hope I did this right.
http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...pshhrwq6qb.jpg I know it is a little crooked... I need a deeper 15/16 socket. http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...psxzrkvlea.jpg http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...pstauuxwuh.jpg Lets compare: (Should have moved back 1-1/2") Before: http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...pscwtz6xau.jpg After: http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...ps2z9rtuhj.jpg I also went and did some driveshaft hunting... http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...pst8mutpxk.jpg Found a winner! http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...pso4eueg4o.jpg Ends up with 2-1/2"s of "penetration." Looks good enough to me! http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...pszdicmex2.jpg Now to figure out how my DShaft angles look and see if I will need shims. Also, I need a friggin shaft for the front. I have heard to find a dshaft from a truck with 4L80e/NP241. So we shall see. I also picked up a 02 duramax, it needs injectors and what not but seems to be a good truck. It will end up being for the business. http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...psgb4xiwow.jpg Also, small update on the plasma table. We are wiring it up! http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...psgj2ketr6.jpg Next priority is getting this truck to fire up!!!! |
Re: Let's Build A 1 Ton Crew Cab 4x4
Good work! You are making good progress.

love those D-Max rims.

Re: Let's Build A 1 Ton Crew Cab 4x4
Nice work and you guys are making some good progress with your business. Are you marketing the rear disc mounting brackets or are they available some where else?
