Beautiful looking truck.

I don't know if I missed it or over looked it, but how did you get the front to sit so low? Did you use drop spindles?

Thanks,
Sean

Thanks! S10 frame, stock front coils, 2" drop spindles, 225/70R15 tires, body mounted 3.5" off the frame. When all the weight is back on, I may go to a 1" drop coil to get a little rake, we'll see.

Yes looking really nice.

Thanks! It's motivating for sure to see it looking like a truck again.

Starting to make real progress!

Last weekend got the corner windows installed and the inner fenders finished up. I decided the best finish for the inners was Raptor liner, and it would somewhat follow the line where I split the firewall. I'm happy with how that turned out. This weekend I got the front fenders installed for good, finished the cruise wiring, wired the headlights, fabricated taillight brackets, and sprayed the back sides of the rear fenders with Raptor liner. That should be the end of the big messes, wahoo! In a couple days when it is dry, I'll mount the rear fenders for good.

I failed on the windshield install, one side went well, the other side did not. The trim popped out as we were working the top side in, I speculate it may be bent (it was used when I got it), I can't seem to get it to straighten out no matter what tricks I try. Will take it out and start over.

Good idea with the raptor liner and gravel guard. The light bracket looks good too.

Looks good. I put rock guard in my fenders too. I like your tail light brackets.

Nice work!
Hey Blue, when you were looking at tail lights, did you come across anything that had turn signals and backup lights but still looked vintage?

Been working at it vs. being on the forum lately. Not much time left until the Power Tour......

Here's today. Many things are together for good now, just got the windshield in the second time (I don't think my LMC seal is as good as the one I got from Classic Enterprises), but that won't change in the near term. The Classic one had a larger lip that extended out on the body more and the lower outside corners fit better.

Still have a pretty good list, but it's going through underwriting at Haggerty this week so I can get insurance and start to put some laps on it, hopefully by next weekend!

Looking very good! Shop time vs forum internet time is a good trade off. Good luck making HRPT.

It all looks really good, so fun when it is almost ready for the road. I agree with the windshield seals from LMC I have a gap on the lower outer corner. Good to hear there is an alternative.

I've got some more loose ends to tie up before I drive it too much more, but very motivated!

I keep plugging away, crossing things off the list and adding other things to the list....

Saturday I drove the truck a bit. Wife wanted me to get some mulch, so perfect chance to take the truck on a Home Depot run...after I put the seatbelts in for the twins! On the way home we were flagged down by a guy in a T-bucket who wanted us to attend a small diner cruise-in type show....so we did.

Tonight I had a friend of a friend vacuum down and charge the A/C. Man will this be nice once it has side windows to keep the cool air in! Until then, it blows cool air on my knees. That probably needs to be about next on the list, side glass.

Truck ran great for 16ish hour drive down here. A/C isn't charged enough and the Vintage Air heater control valve is leaking coolant on the passenger floor but other than that no issues!
