When you insure a truck like that did you request a higher amount?
What's Korbin gonna drive now?

I was in the process of changing the insurance when it happened, but it was not in effect yet.

I had purchased a 2006 Silverado Crew Cab 2500HD 4WD with the Duramax for me to drive when we finished this truck. Korbin has it now and he is happy and focused more on getting finished with his senior year and going to college next fall. He will get to take White Trash out for a spin every now and then once its finished.

I was so mad at myself for weeks even months after that wreck. I can't even go down that same road without thinking about it. I'm extremely lucky and blessed as well as my sister. I'm even more blessed that my parents literally GAVE me another truck to drive...I can't thank them enough. I want another c10 more than anything. But i'm supposed to focus on something called grades and college or something along those lines.

Maybe i can save up enough extra cash flipping truck parts and working that i can build a cheap truck to play with. just something to hold me over until i can start another full build. This newer truck is nice but it's not as fulfilling or rewarding as driving something i built. My mother calls that being ungrateful. I really want to do a bagged squarebody dually, maybe cummins powered. who knows, but that wreck definitely did't discourage me, just taught me about never taking anything for granted. :metal:

Those good grades are a good thing ..... They give you options later in life versus getting stuck working on JUNK Trucks for the rest of your life ..... !!! :metal:

Kidding aside ... Glad you and your sister came thru the wreck OK ... !!

On the way home from getting his sister from school he was involved in a wreck that totaled out the truck. Neither of them where hurt not even a scratch.

The truck did not fare so well:

It could have been worse. Korbin was able to miss getting hit head on, but got hit just at the back of the passenger door and took out the rear end and bent the frame....

I'm just now finding out about this! So sorry that all the hard work went down the drain so easy. Atleast the kids are okay, and yes you got really lucky on the wheels!

I've been analyzing this and the other thread. So the wreck happened at the beginning of 2014? This wreck is a perfect example of why I'm scared to drive mine already! I would kill someone if my truck got messed up.

yes, the wreck was Jan 2014. Its been a tough pill to swallow, but we all learned alot and my kids did not get hurt. It let me know that I can build a safe vehicle and that that the safety of my kids/family is greater than anything else to me... it all could be lost in a blink of the eye...
