Also got started on running all the front light and electric fan wiring down into the core support of the truck. Will be getting that all lined out and cut down tomorrow night.

Re: 1964 GMC 3/4 ton build :D

Well got up under the truck to put in the lower radiator hose and dagnabit the belt is pretty misaligned lol. So I had to pull the core support back off and swap balancers out. Note to 8.1 swappers lol get the correct balancer that matches your brackets lol. Will have the core support back on in a day or two after I epoxy some spacers in at certain places lol. then can get back to finish getting this beast to up and run...

So apparently there is more than 1 balancer for the 8.1's?

Re: 1964 GMC 3/4 ton build :D

3 different ones captainfab the new body style truck shortie, express van long avd then the hd one 4500 up trucks. I was not sure if the hd one would work but hell thought try it and see lol. then to top everything else off there are several marine balancers around as well

Well started getting the tank support and tool box support frame work layed out last night. It's coming along nicely just having to design a squared up assembly to get it nice n plumb then bolt the base together and go from there as far as board placement goes. still more work to be done. also the existing filler neck is not going to work so looking at other options for filling the tank :D

Well over last weekend made an attempt to fire the engine up but alas did not happen found multiple wiring gremlins so have been fixing them after finding each one all this week. There were a few miswired plug and some plugs not making terminal contact. Should have most of it back together this coming weekend and can make another shot and starting the engine up.

After all the headaches of getting the engine up and running I now have time to go back and start working on the tool box gas tank cover setup. Still looking a filler neck ideas for it but that will come together soon enough :D. Got the side legs assembled last night and will have to make so spacers as you will notice in the pictures.

Still very pleased with how its coming out. Next to price how much cerakoting the aluminum rails will cost?? :D

Well body shop guy dropped by yesterday and helped get the passenger door a bit better aligned so after tinkering with the striker it closes perfectly now. Also the tool box tank cover coming along nicely but I am taking a break from it for a just a bit since having a few frustrations with it. Will come back to it in another week or so. All that's really left to finish is the tank strap building and the base bolt holes to be drilled out.

Well the guy rebuilding my steering column vanished off the face of the earth with my column and 500$ currently trying to track him down to hopefully get it back. Body guy is pretty much falling apart 3 years and still not anywhere close to having paint finished!! sometimes get sooooooooo frustrated by other peoples ineptitude. but enough of the rant lil updates right now. Vent window seals not fitting right so did the rope trick to pull them to the outside of the track..... it works but still not quite happy with it time for more experiments with that lil issue lol
