Complete '79 1/2-ton 4x4 running gear except motor. 3:73's, part-time, never wrecked -

How difficult would it be to drop a 67 - 72 body on this?

67-72 lwb was 127" and 73+ lwb was 131.5 - so, probably not a very fun project :). Also, even if converted to part time, the NP203 is chain-driven, not quite as strong as the 205, another consideration on the running gear. If you have a C10 you want to swap onto it - you could swap the axles onto the C10 chassis - a bit of work for the front, but some folks have done it. Probably not worth buying a whole truck for its axles and so-so t-case though.

Very cool truck. I like how its a base model that is better equipped than some CST's. If it were a K/20 I'd be after it!

Not Craigslist, but parked nearby. No affiliation. Says $8500 OBO. '71 Super Cheyenne. Apparently it is single family owned w/69K miles but doesn't say if it has turned over or not. I could get more info/post more pics if someone is seriously interested.

It's located in the SF Bay Area.

If you can get a deal I would buy it

Agreed. With some love and TLC, that could be a really nice super! Needs saved!

The truck is in Utah, the seller in Texas. It is almost exactly what I've been looking for.If it was wearing original paint and a little cheaper/closer I would be all over it.

I will probably end up regretting not jumping on it

Really nice truck and, in my view, a good price; even though I just bought my K10, I would be very temped to buy it!

I hesitated twice. One a super was in GA the other a real nice 68 4x4 in New Hampshire. Regret not going for it.

When I saw my 68 in South Carolina I didnt hesitate .

I agree. I think the price is in line especially for a western truck. Yeah it has a little rust from the salt lake valley air but overall looks very saveable. So many truck so little time and money 😂

What do you consider a deal? I haven't seen it out since last weekend so it may sold.

Not mine FYI. Looks like a good truck, not sure why they're parting.

Potentially a re-body. No upper/lower trim holes, lower trim on tailgate, doors aren't '72. I'd ask for a pic of the VIN tag and make sure the VIN matches and the rivets look original.

Agree, several hints on this truck that make one go hmm. Black headliner never came in a Super unless it was equipped with black vinyl buckets - and folks don't normally go the extra mile of pain to swap em unless they are very detail oriented.. SPID looks legit, but definitely agree, one would need to confirm VIN match/rivets etc). I did notice it has the Super's tailgate handle cover at least :)
The rust near the visors would also cause me to take pause. Real K20 Super or not, I think it's priced a little high with no engine (and all the other items being discussed like the doors, grille, rust, headliner, yada yada). It does however come with a very nice wasp's nest.
