View from Highway 2 today, all the cars immediately behind me were hit by the semis that couldn't stop because of the glare ice on the roads as there was an accident ahead of us as well....sat there for 4 hours while firemen, police & big rig drivers did their best to help everyone that was hurt --- good job guys!!

Saw it on the news tonight, what a nightmare. Glad to hear you came through unscathed.

Can you PM the price on getting a dash done. Not sure how much it would cost to ship it back and forth to the guy you sent yours to. I would love one in my '87. Thanks, I live in Leduc btw,..

I had to dig to find my thread....been a while I guess.

Well, I'm starting on it again. Moved to Calgary this spring, fell off my roof cleaning eavestroughs and broke 9 ribs, my thumb and got a concussion. Ouch.

Now I'm up and around (sort of) so got most of the unpacking done in our old (new to us) house.

Best thing about this place, it has a front two car garage, and in the back yard the old fella that had the house since new before built a 26 x 30 shop that you can park a semi rig in.

In floor heating, extra hot air / gas furnace in the ceiling, a 1 ton crane on a beam on the ceiling, 220V wired throughout, already plumbed for air throughout, boom for painting and air extractor already built in and functioning. And a 6 foot deep pit for changing oil and doing transmissions. Most of this stuff would never get approved by the building permit guys these days but 30 years ago it was different I guess.

Got a new compressor to run all the lines, should be a good balance between size and being quiet for the neighbors. Put better mirrors on my other truck last week too.

Only good thing about being laid up for so long is I have some new ideas for this truck --- stay tuned!

Oh yeah, most of those boxes in the shop are truck parts....but lots are for my 68 Firebird that getting rolled into the shop as soon as the truck gets repainted, lots to do this winter!

Amazing build! I'm looking for another project, and decided on a squarebody and doing a 6.0 swap. This thread has been extremely helpful! I'll be referencing back to it before I start every little project lol

It's a Diamond White Tri-coat. Same code as 2010 Cadillacs.

Thanks and thanks...not much to report, just sanding body panels.

No idea what the part number is, stainless steel Magnaflows, 18 inches long, single in/single out.

This is what they sound like (videos aren't great though):

Glad to see you plugging away again, Gordon. I had a few months back in America before getting sent back to Asia (Afghanistan this time), but I didn't get much accomplished on the truck other than driving the wheels off of it. I've noticed your skills are becoming more and more advanced. Congratulations on all the hard work!

Thanks guys.

Reuben, I still kick myself that I didn't buy your truck!

I'm trying to build the best truck that I can possibly build myself....last time when it was together it just didn't feel 'right'.

I hope that this truck can inspire someone to at least try something outside their comfort zone like Dennis & Glock did for me.
