I'm going to need a full rear 3/4 view pic of the truck to truly enjoy the sport bumper.

You really have me considering bringing my truck down a bit more.

I had my '69 out today, while I did some brake work on my "daily driver" '91 S10.
So I took a few pics.

Thanks, Charlie,... the pictures make it look better than it actually is.
And there's a reason I don't show the right bedside much,...

The guy I bought this truck from did nothing to it.
But a previous owner somewhere,... tried to do some paintwork to the bedside years ago. It's fairly straight,... but the "Patina" is more intense (ugly), than the rest of the truck. Ha.
I'm not sure what I will do to this bedside,... if anything.

It's got character. That's the best kind of truck to have . Bad to the bone looks, and it can work hard too. Perfect!

ummmm, um! me looooooves that truck!!

great work Keith. the stance now is as close to perfect as you can get.

what are you bringing over for Goodguys? If your trailering either the K5 or this truck, you can leave your tow vehicle here at the house. I'll be there this year with my beater.

Thanks for the offer, Doug. I'm driving the blazer.
I'd like to take the '69,... but I still need to do an engine/tranny swap,... and I'm not ready for that yet.

Ive got a 69 swb and thinking of doing the same wheel combo, but right now with the 20in wheels that are on it,the front wheels are are closer to the fender edges then the rears.Going with the 15-7 and 15 by-10's help with that?Is the backspace any different on the rallys? Thanks jason

Re: Project: NO-LIFE,...

Jason the BS will be different on each set of rims. Depending on what you have done to the '69, if it has disc brakes up front with the stock rearend, then the front will have a wider track width as the '69 has a narrower rearend than the '71-72's. Also, if you are running a 6-lug setup, you will want to begin searching as they were limited in production.

Jason,...
The problem with these trucks is that the "track width" on all the 60-87 trucks is wider on the front.

The 71-87 trucks aren't as noticeable as the 60-70 trucks that have been "converted" to disc brakes. Like Nate said,... the combination of the narrower rearend, and the wider front track width (from adding disc brakes) makes it really apparent.
I try to hide this by running narrower wheels up front and wider in the back. On a low buck project like my '69 I use different size ralleys.
If your budget can afford billet wheels,... use different sizes or backspacing.

Ha. I've been looking for 25+ years,... but I can never coordinate my "truck finds",... with my wallet.
My old '69 is taking shape,... thanks to alot of board members parting with their nice parts.

(Hint, Hint,... to anyone thinking about being a "subscribing" member,... you can ask about, sell, and find just about anything you need for these classic trucks on this board.)

It looked terrible when I brought it home,... Ask Nate (72BlckButy) about the black Nissan wheels.
Yuck!

i am always looking for these trucks but around here theres nothing that are survivors. i am looking for a long bed now to convert one. Nothing good though. Also wanting a 2 wheel blazer but no luck. Its amazing what a set of rally wheels do.
