Here is my 1984 M1009. http://spitfire.homelinux.com/~sysop/m1009/ It is basically the civy chevy blazer with a few modifications, 6.2l diesel, blackout lights, 24 volt starter, and a few other small things. It is rated at 3/4 tons. It wieghs 5200 lbs, not sure how close that is to a civy blazer.

Well guys, I couldn't help but to post this pic. The body is going back on the chassis tomorrow and that's a big day in the life of a frame off. This is the last day it's two projects, after tomorrow, back to one. Check out the link to see the progress to date. I'll post an update when it's closer to completion.

Is that some of the original paint left on the floor or is that an optical illusion. It looks like the same Spring Green i think its called that my 75 Jimmy was originally. Looks like a nice project you have going there.

Never mind I typed that before I looked at all the pics. I see now that it was indeed once spring green :D

Yes I'd sell it. 10 thousand not negotiable.

I have reciepts for 9k dollars of new GM parts. I get my parts at dealer cost plus 10%, so it's quite a list. Everything is new GM including doors ,fenders, wing windows, hood, all trim, tailgate, grille, lights, bezels, dash pad, door panels. Every single piece of rubber is new GM. The top rubbers cost over 400 bucks.

New full built Turbo 350 and GM crate engine with 300 miles on it.

PM me if you're really serious. I don't make any excuses for this truck. It's done proper and I'm not in a hurry to get rid of it. I'm firm on the price.

this is what I did to my interior I also put 99 silverado 40/20/40 seats in it. I was going to rhino line the whole inside but i ran out of time and money.

Monypit looks like you have a fun wiring job ahead of you. I know it will be worth it once it is done though. :D Keep a log of everything as I am sure others will want to know about the dash swap details. I might even try to do that with the 75 Jimmy I have sometime in the future. How is it attached right now BTW? Have you got any of the wiring done yet?

Thats my daily driver. the wiring wasn't as hard as it would seem. I used the complete harness from the 97 c/k series for the engine and trans and built a few custom harnesses as well as modified the front light harness. the hardest part was getting the dash to actually fit right but I welded some supports on the firewall in the same position as the tahoe and addes some square tube on the sides to mount to. you can see the mounts in this pic I had to use the new brake booster and pedals and the new air box so the only thing that is 73 is the body, axles, and frame

Gregsmx 12-14-2003 12:45 PM

That is awsome work moneypit. There is a pic on page one of this thread that also has a late model dash in a blazer.
