over here in arizona we had a really cold spell for a week in the high 30's to low 50's.

bless you poor guys! its been sunny and 75-80 with a 3-4 mph breeze not a cloud in sight for weeks here and still going. shorts and a t shirt jamming on the trucks.

but i would love some snow here and there!
so would my truck :chevy:

That truck looks right at home in those types of conditions. Now I want a 67'-72' K-10 or K-20 4x4! :chevy:

It doesn't have to be snow to be winter. I'm enjoying this thread. I was looking for something else and came across another former piece of livestock from my old corral...'71 K/10 SWB

Kudos to y'all that get that much snow & still get around in it. Being here in the SW, I would not know how to function if we received that much snow, I get cabin fever really bad. We get 2 to 3 inches of snow here and the city & schools shuts down...lol j/k

the rest of 67 is in storage with the seals/gaskets drying out, so when I start it again they can all leak.....

p.s ... nov 2013 pictures. ... and I know the bricks on bottom left do not look good, ... but it won't leak till pro help can fix it right:lol:

Well, that was a rare bird. Two big snows back to back. First was 30" and the second was 36". We had 5 1/2' of snow. It was all powder dry,no winds, and power never went out. I'll take that over an ice storm any day (or all the rain this would have been). You don't get around when it's like this. I had my driveway shoveled out to an unplowed road for couple days. You stay put and get through by your own means. I had water stored, creek near by,freezer and pantry full,I heat with a woodstove, use a charcoal grille, read books, etc. It sucks when power goes out,but I can get by. I actually like times like this when the world has no choice but to slow down and put things back into a truly "realistic" perspective. You go through the list of "what can I do" and you realize how small that is. Money is worthless during these times. I love conveniences, but will never allow myself to be totally dependent on them. While there's an element of serious survival involved (which I like), times like this also gives the kind of pleasure I've only felt as a child. My cabin became my fort out in the woods. That is priceless. And since I live in a log cabin built in 1857,I feel more what it was like back then. People pay good money to escape to a cabin in a picturesque setting and I'm just "stayin' home"
